Love Minshew. He was great at Washington State for Mike Leach (RIP), and he tries so hard to be a proper NFL QB, but every once in a while he forgets and plays backyard football for a few ticks. He's got moxie and is fun to watch.

The last play JT is actually designed against that specific defense. It's made to look like a rub route so that the two CBs would switch and then the 'pick' guy (in this case, Pittman) breaks it off back to basically a post. It's why he's so wide open.

Yeah, that last play design was INCREDIBLE, and it works so well because 14 JUST hit a home run on the previous play, so that inside corner bites on the flat and leaves the #1 receiver wiiiiide open.

Note on that last play. The incompletion right before it was the same but without that flare. It took the db by surprise. Also d-hop scored on them with that exact play design so it wouldn’t suprise me if stikein didn’t see d-hop score and ask Pittman if he could do that in the red zone mid game

I really enjoyed this. I've been waiting for a Minshew breakdown. Over the years there have been dozens of qb's that had better traits than Minshew and those same guys never played a down in a real game or played very little and/or had a short career. He's not fast or the quickest, small, and below avg arm strength. Minshew has found a lot of ways to get around his limitations as a QB. I'm an Eagles fan but I always root for Minshew. I love a good underdog story. These Colts are the cardiac kids. LOL. Not too many people have watched more stuff on Minshew than me and all I can say is the dude is an enigma.

Colts have been fun to watch this year. Definitely tune in if it's possible. Gardner Minshew is the living embodiment of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. You don't know which one is gonna show up on any given play, but you're guaranteed to get them both in the same game and sometimes they show up on the same play. It'll be the right read; foot action looks good; whacky execution on the throw. Lol

That's hysterical. Also remember he hasn't played a lot of football since 2020. He started 2 games in 2021 and 2 in 2022. Fun Fact: The 1 physical trait he has in his favor that very few people know about is his hand size. Minshew has huge hands Tua, Brees, Ryan Fitzpatrick, and Russel Wilson are all smaller qb's and they all have huge hands. There was an article written about it and they listed over 60 qb's hand sizes measured at the combine. Just google nfl qb hand size. You'll find the link. Most of the guys on the list are big and tall qb's.

One thing I think that keeps being missed is the play prior to the Pittman TD is the setup play for the walk off. When Pitt motions over its exact same look. Steichen loves running similar formations n changing concepts within the formation. Colt McCoy broke this down perfectly on his podcast too. Great work tho JT as usual.

Not so fun fact: this game was the first time the starting five O-line has played together since week 1. Then our right tackle makes it one or two drives before he’s out for the game. Ahhhhhh. Can we get a couple weeks of our full O-line for the love of god!? Like sucked last year. This is the same group, but Tony Sporano Jr came in to coach them (and Steichen and Cooter) and it’s been soooo much better. Far from perfect but better. Love the honest evaluation of the Colts offense. Will we make the playoffs? Maybe. Will we win if we make the playoffs? Probably not. For a team that was 4-12-1 last years and didn’t make that many roster moves (in fact went backwards at outside corner by trading Gilmore. Then Isiah Rodgers gets hit for gambling. Then Dallas Flowers goes down for the year. Then our 2nd round pick Juju Brents has barely played due to injury), no Colts fan can be mad about where we are at. Yes, Richardson is gone, but this team has talent where it matters and has overachieved. I don’t care if we don’t win another game this year and miss the playoffs, it’s still a great season. More to come next year with Richardson back and hopefully a couple roster moves where we need them. I know this was long, but Steichen and Gardner have just found ways to win. Gotta love football.

Steichen is the real deal! I'm glad he's our coach. Sure, he's made a few rookie mistakes, but he's a cerebral play caller and will only get better and already has the last couple of games. Can't wait to see what he does with (hopefully a healthy) AR for the next decade. I just hope he's smarter and more reserved/selective with designed runs and that AR will take what defenses give him and slide or get out of bounds.

Do you think Minshew has the ability within him to be a really good starting QB in the NFL? Meaning, do you think he's at his ceiling, or, with work, he could be better. Obviously I'm a Colts fan. I knew that Minshew had serious limitations/quirks to his game, but I feel even worse after having watched this, lol. Don't get me wrong, I was never fooling myself thinking he was a top shelf NFL QB, but being in the league for 5 yrs, having worked with both team and private QB coaches, 4 years of college ball, and he still has the footwork and decision making issues? He is what he is I suppose. Just good enough to get a coach fired if that coach chose to make Minshew his full time QB1.

Well that is a problem for most qb's. LOL. I'd take Minshew over at least 15 qb's starting in the league now. I take him over Carr all day and twice on Sunday. I'm mentioning Carr cause he is 1 of the more established qb's starting today. Minshew got Zero offers out of High School. Went from community college to ECU, then Saban called and wanted him to be the backup at Alabama. He committed and then de-committed once Mike Leach called. Washington State had their starting qb. His name was Tyler Hilinski. Unfortunately Hilinski committed suicide before the season. The unfortunate death of that young man opened a door for Minshew.

Wanted Carolina to grab Minchew instead of Darnold during the rebuild a couple years ago. I think he coulda done well with Moore n CMC till Carolina found an heir apparent... But instead carolina got amnesia and went back to the 2018 draft and snagged Darnold AND mayfield... And now carolina Doesnt have Moore or CMC. Has no help for a small, system rhythm QB.... and no element of confidence in the future...

The colts moved here when I was four been a fan ever since. Michael Pittman thinks he's a top five receiver in the league in his head but he's not even close to that. Josh downes is good for screens and passes up to 10 yards. Michael Pittman can catch past this from 8 yards to 12. Alec Pierce is our deep threat He's our biggest most physical receiver as well and he can go up and get the ball if you've ever watched this highlights from college we just need somebody that can get him the ball we had Matt Ryan last year and that was a joke so this maniac is our quarterback now and he is pretty good. I was upset when we got rid of Nick foles I thought you should just started last year but we've had a lot of injuries this year on defense and obviously in the backfield but we still win games what you got to do. His footwork is outrageous I watch from home just going what is he doing you need to like watch some Peyton or some Andrew luck or something but he doesn't have a lot of time either it doesn't seem like our teams to ask you to pass blocking as we are but blocking and you're playing the fourth best bedtime defense in the league in this game. The numbers don't lie that team is good the red zone and they can run the ball classic division game. Thank God for coach He's way better than Frank every week is a playoff game from here on out The Titans were still in it in this game they were playing for their lives too. The AFC South is definitely up for grabs And I believe we can win it. I haven't ever seen your program before of course you're you know Monday morning quarterback and shit which is a lot easier than doing it on the fly but your statements about his footwork are definitely correct crazy how he doesn't understand body mechanics but he's always in the waiting room getting jacked up you know and that's a fact so that's strange. The closer good team to watch And I definitely believe we can win a couple playoff games I don't know about super bowl but I definitely think we can beat anybody in the legal most we did beat the Ravens at home And we got a key defensive lineman coming back this week off of suspension and he's going to be fresh and that's going to improve our line tremendously so that helps out our secondary which is busted up and injured really bad and has been for a long time so we're going to make a damn run and see what we can do. Worst thing is I don't know how good Richardson is do we go get a quarterback late cuz there's a lot of quarterbacks this year what do we take a risk on him again or what I don't know he seems injury problem you got hurt every game you played so I don't know go colts
