One thing I notice as a colts fan is there is no COACH with him on the sideline in between drives. It seems like it’s either just Flacco or Sam Ehlinger talking with him and looking at the tablet.

DUDE. This is EXACTLY what I am always thinking. I was at the game yesterday and only one time did I see a coach there. It was after the “tap” drive. There was another time that he and the receivers went over to Reggie Wayne after a drive and were getting coached up on something there. Probably communication issues. But other than that it was mostly only Sam that was there to talk to him. Even Flacco was kinda just there not saying much. I watched him in between snaps on every play that he sat there.

10 things as a colts fan. 1. I do not care that he went out. I just don’t. 2. The good comes when he is decisive. It’s definitely there. Having the time and seeing the options open up he delivers a great ball more times than not. 3. You can tell the bad throws come from not being set, rushing into the progression and not trusting the development. Looks like it’s confidence in the read. Even when he’s right. 4. Line has to help protect. AR and the O need to build a better protection scheme. So many blitzes get unblocked 5. CATCH THE BALL WHEN IT HITS YOUR HANDS. 6 Shane needs to dial up better play calls. 1st half to 2nd are night and day and this year to last year is night and day. Run the ball more. Get him more confident with simpler plays. 7. Pittman dogs so many routes. Either he is still hurt or now lazy from the new contract. 8. Avoiding sacks and extending plays is such an elite skill and talent of his. Flacco wouldn’t been knocked out by qtr 2. 9. The Houston defense has been elite. AR has faced some elite defenses this year that have caused problems for some of the elite QBs this year. Iron sharpens iron 10. Stick with him. I believe. The flashes are there. Steichen needs to help him. Colts are failing him more than he is failing the colts.

Why hasn't anyone brought up that AR gained around 20 lbs this off season?? I mean how did Shane allow that as part of his healing regiment. I understand all that goes into tapping out long term and short. I agree with you. But you got a rookie out there, who weighs 250 and playing every play. Slight of Mad Max in Vegas tell me someone else who could play every snap. They really have gone wrong with their plan with Anthony coming in. A lot of people say he needs those physical reps. Reps, reps, reps. But really what he needed was NFL day to day working and living reps first. His injury made even his sideline injury not the same as working with the back up squad everyday while you evolve yourself from being a college Florida Qb to an NFL Qb. There's still a lot of time. And, Anthony has what he needs. His spider sense in the pocket actually goes unnoticed. I never really seen any games where he's not aware. As that tackle from his left that you think he might not have seen, if you look he shrugs down right before that blind gets there. So much talent, needs a plan. I think the Colts should bring in Pete Carroll to be the DC and mentor Shane into being a true HC. @IRanOutOfPhrases2 күн бұрын
What? That's a completely different scenario. In hockey its standard for a coach to pull a goalie if he's getting lit up. Roy had a strained relationship in MTL already, and suddenly his coach was looking to humiliate him when he clearly didn't have it. Roy was right to be furious in that spot, that his coach waited so long to pull him. It would have been normal to pull him when it was 5-1. They waited until 9-1 to yank him. I don't know if I've ever seen a starting goalie last that long (particularly in a game where you're just getting blown out.) I don't get the comparison here.

@@philweaks7605 I've probably watched hockey 1000x more than football, lol I don't know if I've ever seen a goalie NOT get pulled after giving up 5 goals in the first period. At that point a coach has to because one of two things is going on: 1) The goalie doesn't have it that night or 2) the team is playing terribly in front of him and needs a 'message' sent to them. No coach in their right mind would leave a goalie in when the score hits 5-1 in the first period. It is indeed STANDARD to pull the goalie there. There's a 20 minute highlight package video you can find on KZbin. At the 8:35 mark of that vid, Detroit just went up 5-1. They then show the back-up goalie and coach for MTL in a side-by-side, showing the audience if the coach is going to pull Roy or not. Why would they show that if this wasn't expected here?? Last night there was a Blues-Senators game. Blues goalie got pulled at 5-0. Blues end up losing 8-1. Goalies get pulled all the time, man. No way you played hockey in college and not know about this aspect of the game.

It may have been meant for rookie safety Calen Bullock who came in late to make the tackle. Or it might have meant nothing at all. Devin has only been with the Texans since last Wednesday. Both starting linebackers are injured. AR showed his drive, ambition, and overall attitude to the game and his team when he tapped out. Maybe he'll change, but as of now he gets zero respect from me. 22:00 not to be a negative nancy, but what are the odds that those moments of "elite" quarterbacking that seem to be popping out of nowhere every now and then are really just bad decisions under pressure that simply happen to work out every now and then by sheer luck? like what if he isnt throwing it deliberately to the over with elite level anticipation fitting it in through the mesh and right behind that linebacker? what if hes panicking under pressure and all he sees is some white jerseys up front and just chucking it straight ahead, hoping for the best? seeing this it feels like this couldve just as easily turned out to be one of those plays from earlier in the season, where its genuinely tough to tell which defender he was even trying to throw it to cause there were 3 couldve potentially made the INT. genuine question from someone who has never played QB on any level -.-

Evidently he fell on the ball and got the wind knocked out of him. Still can’t tap out

10:56 ya run the Ball only needed 3 yards. or Neil the ball go into halftime.

You can't just *kneel there, the Texans had three timeouts. Do that, and you're punting from your own goal line with 32 seconds left and the Texans with two timeouts. The mistake was throwing on first and second down and stopping the clock. And the horrible play call. And the terrible throw.

I’m no expert but it looks to me like he is a very gifted terrible quarterback

This guy is being nice. The colts receiver's are over AR. He has zero touch.

Right now, he's a poor man's Deshaun Watson. Great athlete, can occasionally be spectacular, but just doesn't seem to recognize what's going on around him.

@@mph7282 Look, maybe you're mad at Richardson, but that's no reason to say he's worse than a serial assaulter.

@@IRanOutOfPhrases I couldn't care less about the Colts or Richardson, but Watson is the better QB. That's the objective reality.

My biggest gripe with this dude as a Colts fan is he refuses to throw the ball on 3rd down if his target isn’t past the sticks. Like dude YAC exist and anything is better than a sack.
