I'm not sure how much it qualifies, but a personal choice of mine would be the Gunship in Prime 3, it feels so refreshing to see it become more than a glorified Save Station. It acts as a limited fast travel between docking areas, it can be called for decimating air strikes in certain rooms, and it can even be used to transport cargo.

Actually, the Federation mooks in Other M and Fusion were later explained as being rogue factions. in fact, that was a plot point in the japanese version of Fusion

In Prime hunters, the 6 other hunters get an alternate form similar to the morph ball each with unique abilitys. The eco visor is also cool using sound to see everything. I want to know how will Prime 4 happen without the main element Phazon? Phazon has been a major plot in all 3 games.

Something I've noticed about the E.M.M.I. from Metroid Dread is that the developers referred to these things as being Galactic Federation made. I'm under the firm belief now that the Federation were actively trying to kill Samus and their blundering was all a cover until they could develop something strong enough to kill her, and now they have one: a bona fide Samus-killer in the form of E.M.M.I. (which, funnily enough, by their behavior and how you evade pursuit, remind me a lot of the Sligs from Oddworld Abe's Oddyssey & Exoddus in that they behave in much the same way: only being able to see you when you aren't hiding in the shadows.) Meanwhile, picking my favorite Metroid power-up is tough, but I'd say it's a toss-up between the Morph Ball, the Speed Booster, and the Screw Attack: all 3 are WONDERFUL examples of situational tools giving the concept of one-off power-ups the middle finger. A friend of mine touched upon something interesting, by the way: since Samus' arm cannon (which, funnily enough, as you can see from the X-ray visor, is just a gun that encompasses her hand...nice touch, Retro ;3) can synthesize various forms of energy, why can't she fashion it in to an energy sword of some sort? I think that'd be kinda cool, to be honest; it could have, maybe, the same power as a Charge Shot and could even be used against defensive enemies that refuse to let you hit their weak point, but with the tradeoff that it uses Aeion energy every time you use it, so you have to use it sparingly. And for anyone saying that it would be considerably overpowered if that was the case, just remember...Samus Returns' parry maneuver used NO energy and IT was overpowered, soooo... Anyway, yeah, interesting and funny as always, I died laughing at the Gravity Suit segment...you know why... >:3

In regards to that early joke about Other M: I honestly think that the overal gameplay of the game is decently solid (better than Metroid 1 and 2 imo) and that it's primarily the story/writing that's bad.

I actually thought Other M was a pretty decent game (barring the awful story). I'd love to see another third-person 3D Metroid at some point, just with a less linear design and more traditional upgrade system. I wouldn't even mind it if they tried voice acting again, so long as they don't have Samus monologuing every few seconds.

My friend was a little bit disappointed in the fact that we were going to get a Metroid prime four and I have to agree with him on that because you can't just have the game be ending off on a small cliff hanger like in 3 and then leave that 1 plot point involving a character flying after Samus after the credits rolled. At least we got dread but still and a pretty fun list involving the hot bounty hunter's loadout!

If Star Fox does get a new game, it's hopefully a NEW GAME, and not a re-re-reboot that apes of the original Star Fox on SNES. Zero shows how overrated and over hyped Star Fox 64 is getting after the 3DS re-release. Assault and, to a lesser extent, Adventures show what promise the series could be if they can get away from 64's shadow long enough to do so.

Okay, I am one of those people that will tell you "F**K YOU!"...I HATE the Speed Booster BECAUSE of the Shine Spark...Not because of the raw power, but because of the puzzles! Oh god, I hated every single solitary item that required the need of the Shine Spark to get it...I could NEVER get it to work the way I want it 95% of the time, I hated the means of needing to get it, and I could not stand how it kept coming back in 2D Metroid games...Ugh, I HATE THE SHINE SPARK!
