I've always fallen in the camp of I tend toward the more sexualized characters, its really just been how I am. But like, why does that shot exist. I literally would rather have the scene of their faces the entire time, if what I'm told about that scene is real. If you're telling an important aspect about a character, focus entirely on that, not hard. This is just better story telling, what the fuck people.

This is like throwing a hissy fit that your favorite ice cream place got a new flavor and isn't solely selling what you like. And for the Tifa thing, as I said on Suris's video, it could easily just be that the old boob size just looked weird and disproportional on the new style and graphics and the rest of her body. I know I sometimes have to adjust tits when making Sims for that reason and even then they tend to still be fairly big. Suris also points out in his video that the change had been made several games ago rather than it being made in the FF7 remake and also that it was done more to be more in line with the original artists vision for her design when making the original character art.

FF7 remake Tifa, along with all versions of Tifa from Kingdom Hearts 2, the FF7 movie, and Dissidia games, look like a more realistic version of the cartoony character art of Tifa in the manual for the original FF7. So the people that are upset that she doesn't look like the in-game models, normally or in cutscenes, are just being ridiculous, especially since the in-game versions were never meant to be accurate since that was impossible at the time.

When the original ME came out, they also wanted to make Alenko and Ashley bi, but later cut those romance out. They fixed it with Kaiden in ME3, but Ashley is still straight, but now she's also insufferable in ME3. And I loved ME1 and ME2 Ashley, I really wanted to romance her as fem!Shep. So, it is not only Jake.

I've literally complained about all of Bioware's female characters that sit with their legs spread out like the male model and it's so jarring. The animation is used in Dragon Age too so when my female Hawk/Inquisitor acts like a lady then suddenly sits like that it totally ruins my immersion. Quartering is so dumb.

The people getting upset, and the creators for being like “yeah, we’re gonna change it up because gross.” I feel like they could have just said “yeah, we’re doing some slight focus and camera angles changing to help with the cinematography of some scenes, and maybe help set a better, more serious/appropriate tone at some points,” which is what they’re doing, and likely nobody would have even noticed.
