Tarot was my introduction to extreme metal with growls and such, and it has remained probably my favorite album of all time. Definitely my most listened by far. I've listened to some of those songs almost 800 times, and every single song is in my top played. It was a masterpiece. And I was worried that they weren't gonna be able to live up to such standards, but by God they did, and I'm loving it. It's not Tarot 2.0, it's more energetic, trim, and vicious, with just enough emotion, and more experimentation than ever with the new clean vocals.

Oh man... there is so much more to extreme metal than this band. I don't know if I even class them as that due to their horrible, and I mean absolutely horrible generic metal production. Having said that, Tarot is... ok. Definitely nothing to wet your pants about though. If you ever decide to venture to the side of metal where albums are mixed in such a way that it doesn't suck all life out of the instruments and performances, you are going to be in to a whole new world that can blow your mind.

@@Jesus-ui5bm yeh those were cool, but not really what I was looking for. I guess to elaborate, I'm looking for something along the lines of melodic death metal that focuses on themes of north american music. Basically like if Ensiferum made an album heavily influenced by bluegrass and specifically Aaron Copland. Sounds and melodies that can encapsulate country lifestyle, freedom, pioneering, and the vast north american landscape. Somewhat of a triumphant, uplifting, and adventurous spirit in the instrumentation and music meshed with fun, catchy, and somewhat technical melodic death metal. If someone made a band based on strictly this, they would be my heroes.
