Got the Therabody air pro based on your older comparison of all the boot systems. I wish the Pro version came with a bag or some kind of carrying case. I have traveled twice and never had any issues with TSA and I find myself taping the switch off so it doesn't get turned on accidently. Overall it's been great but I have nothing to compare it to.

Thank you very much Patrick for your advise on the RecoveryAir product! I have been using these for a couple months now in preparation for my upcoming run in January. I would not be able to train as hard without the RecoveryAir. Your advise and easy order process were fantastic. I received the shipment very quickly. If they were the same price, do you still say the basic recoveryair? Is the additional functionality of the normatec ( or recoveryair pro ) just not worth it, setting different programs etc. Essentially when people use these devices do they generally just use the basic program which is installed in the recoveryair system? I will try to make a video in the future showing this. You can essentially fold the foot section on to the boot and then fold it up chamber by chamber and roll the host up and place it inside the folded boot.

Why is it on battery tho? Could just plug it into the wall. Don’t see the need to be mobile with it… gonna drive the price up unnecessarily.

Why would you not want it to be portable? I think it’s a huge convenience to not have to rely on it being plugged in.
@mathiasramfelt36202 жыл бұрын
@@BestMassageTech Can’t see that I would use this anywhere where there is not a power outlet around. Like I wouldn’t take this to the beach or to the park. Even the gym I probably wouldn’t bring it. So only place I would use it would be in my house. And there are loads of power outlets all around my house. Or any house really. So, ye, don’t see the need, as it would obviously drive the price up with batteries.
@BestMassageTech2 жыл бұрын
@@mathiasramfelt3620 I can understand that and I suppose each scenario is different. I personally have used these while camping after a long day of hiking and I’ve also used them and used them in the back of a van after a team relay run. While I do agree that most settings you will have access to power I have personally experienced situations where it wasn’t easily accessible and I took advantage of the battery power.
@mathiasramfelt36202 жыл бұрын
@@BestMassageTech I see. I guess it would be usefull in some situations. I guess the best option would be an optional battery pack, so those who don’t see the need don’t have to pay extra for it.
@jacobpolzin_staff-wakefiel45722 жыл бұрын
@@mathiasramfelt3620 I do believe in the athletic world people are indeed using these for both a warm-up and as recovery afterwards. I've used them as well for relay runs, endurance bike races, and have a friend who dives on the world stage that puts his on in between dives. I think designing a seperate battery pack would deter more than it would appeal. This is why many of the companies have a battery powered unit. There are a few less expensive options that are corded only, but they've not taken off like these.

After watching all your reviews on these products.. I don’t know which one I want/is best for me. I would only use this product at home in the evenings after work and working out. Do you think the pro version is the way to go even though its $500 more?
@BestMassageTech2 жыл бұрын
It depends on what’s important to you. If you don’t think you’ll care about various routines or the ability to turn off individual chambers (which it doesn’t sound like you will) then I think the non pro version would suit your needs.
I think that using a foam roller and a lacrosse ball would be cheaper for the same effect
@BestMassageTech2 жыл бұрын
While they would be cheaper, a foam roller and lacrosse ball would not do what these are designed to do. These are designed to help move fluids in your legs (lymphatic fluid, blood) in an effort to reduce inflammation and provide a tissue flush.
