nugtastic1 her shields were down after the nuke went off. You can see the static from the shields being down in the cutscene. Plus, it wasn’t a human bullet; it was an alien needle whose properties we don’t yet fully understand. Plus a needle is roughly the size of a large icicle, for both the Needler and Needle Rifle. I understand what an homage is, too. I’m not saying it’s not an homage, just stating that I seriously doubt any soldier from Call of Duty would stand a chance against the Master Chief, with all he’s been through to boot. He takes down Brutes and Elites in droves, and each of them are twice the size of humans. Plus he bested Spartan Locke (I won’t argue about how Fireteam Osiris are a bunch of Spartan wannabes) in melee combat. Let’s be honest: if Chief wanted to kill them all, he would’ve dropped from the ceiling and fragged them all with one grenade and then jumped out the window to save earth yet again.
