I live in the NYC suburbs, im so jealous of your food prices! Our prices haven't increased as much as other areas of the US have lately, they've always been high! For 2 people, we don't eat a lot, it's about $400 per month, which does include toilet paper, paper towels, cleaning products, etc. We do order in a bit too often, probably another $300 per month. Our warehouse/bulk stores are a rip off. I just shop at one of the regular grocery stores every 7 to 10 days. It's significantly less expensive to stock up on our fave brands of pasta, canned stuff, meats we can freeze, pantry staples,, etc, when they're on sale. Then meal plan around that stuff with what fresh produce, meats, dairy, etc, are on sale from week to week. I love your cooking vlogs! Gotten some great ideas from them!

Noel you did great even though I was surprised because I am Italian and we don't really do these recipes like this but IT STILL LOOK DELICIOUS
@Hayley04122 жыл бұрын
@Aida Colluri I completely understand, as an Italian I very rarely make some of these meals, I love homemade pasta very different to dried pasta, I will admit to buying fresh pasta from a supermarket when time is short! My grandmother ensured that I could at least cook two proper Italian meals, things have slipped as I lost my leg and cooking has left the building but my eldest son tries so hard, he is a great Italian cook! 🇮🇹 🇮🇹 🇮🇹.
@Aurora-qn2dx2 жыл бұрын
I also think so..as an Italian chicken in pasta does not exsist (you would only have boiled chicken broth with some pastina and thats it) ..it was invented by Italo americans but not an original recepe in Italy..as for broccoli and cream with penne it is a common italian recepe..as for pesto and cheese all together i only make spaghetti with pesto nothing else added only parmigiano grattugiato but i must admit i will try out this recepe even t'ho there is nothing Italian about it..Noel is brilliant at cooking.

I didn't find a lot of those prices great value - some were, but buying shops own brand still seems cheaper. Not sure about your local Asda as it's years since I've been to that one, but at ours we can buy 3 to 5kg bags of pasta and rice (basmati) cheaper than Food Warehouse. That's a shame because I was totally ready to take a look. Maybe it depends on what you normally buy (we don't buy much cereal, but if it did it would probably be branded, rather than shops own).

I live in the US, and our bulk buy stores are much larger, by probably 3 or 4 times, is there a Cosco there?? Fir instance the eggs would be 2 ,60 count eggs together, or 3 large family size cereal boxes together to buy..... I love how you & Noel shop though you know exactly what the family needs, and skip what's unnecessary. Noel your cooking is fabulous! Thank you for sharing!❤️
