It should be noted that the prices are higher there in a resort town. Here in East Texas the baby wipe are like $2 a packet. Also the bean isle was actually the isle for international brands like Mexican and Asian. The USA style beans are stocked with all the other canned vegetables. It is quite fun watching you all shop the brands that are so common to me. Lol

As an American viewer, I have to say this is spot on accurate as to our price inflation situation as of late. We also had very strange weather early this year that greatly affected our crops, thus the high prices and lack of fruits and vegetables. It's been a really rough year here tbh. But at least it's entertaining to see it through your guy's eyes! Can't wait for part 2 😄

I'm an American too. Those guns are REAL AIR GUNS. They shoot a little ball call a BB out the end. I was surprised with the cheap food prices there. In Mid-Missouri they are higher yet!! Blue package white bread is $2.25 or higher this week. Seems like prices go up $.20-.50 every week to 2 weeks.

Gas in our local gas station is $3.29 gallon. Most people heat with electric or wood. Electric is about 100.00-300.00 a month. Food use to be affordable before covid. But food is very expensive now. For us we grow food year round in greenhouses and on the farm. Second Creek Nursery, Rosebud Mo.
@mandyblume5531 Жыл бұрын
Much of what they picked up was premade or cut up fruit in the produce and deli sections. You are essentially paying someone to cut your watermelon and make a salad. Buying whole, uncut fruit and veggies is way cheaper. If they were in a resort town, prices would be higher. It's not like that everywhere. It's expensive but much less expensive than in a resort town. Radfords, those green, round things with a husk are tomatillos. They are like a green tomato and are uses for making salsa verde and other Mexican and Latino dishes.

We don’t shop at these places they’re not fresh local farmers stands/markets and farmers butcher shops for fresh meats. Otherwise you can’t make ends meet sadly many shop at these places.. America are food is sky rocketing and vanishing an sadly no one is discussing it.. our energy prices are very high but it also varies where you reside in the USA, being it’s so large in NY upstate region not the NYC believe it or not it’s actually small compared to the states size and the farmers and things upstate NY, we are having a tough time making ends meet. No vacation for my family in a long time we try our best to just keep the bills paid and everyone fed, two jobs barely seems to make due sadly. I called to get more heating oil as it was in the 30s f last night and was told it’s $1200-1300 roughly compared to the $700 of my last order last year 😣 either way seems we all have our issues something very high here not so high by you an vice versa 💕

I was amazed to hear about plastic bags in the US and really surprised they arent leading the way. Here in NZ you dont get them in the supermarkets or stores now mostly reusables, paper bags or biodegrable and a lot of places are changing food packaging. I thought we were always behind the rest of the world and followed whats happening abroad 😊. Thanks for sharing your shopping experience so interesting seeing items and different pricing

It may depend on the state. Here in NY, plastic bags are banned.

I live in Ontario Canada and we’re slowly converting to just reusable bags in the grocery stores!

I'm from nz but I live in Belgium now. We have to pay for a plastic bag or you can bring your own reusable bags.

Writing from the u.s. Some stores here give you a few cents off your total purchase for using a re-usable bag, Target does. My mother has about seven re-usable bags that she takes into the grocery store.
