I met Charlie a few years ago as a painter myself i was a bit nervous meeting him .but he was so friendly ,humble and gave so much help and advice nothing was any trouble .he even gave me a number to call him if I ever had any problems and to see what he could do to help .one lovely kind helpful being truly a honor and privilege meeting him thank you Charlie. Could you ever see wayne or boyde doing that. No me neither.

Charlie is a gentleman, my two boys took a tour of the country and a freind of his (with permission) gave me Charlie's adress. He gave us a tour of his shop and talked to us like we where equals. I never forgot how nice he was back in 2015. We where the 3 guys in the green F150 fr9m Massachusetts.

..I remember watching Charlie when he worked for Boyd Coddington on Quest TV, (American Hotrod,) almost in tears having been given a deadline of only 6 weeks to completely restore a vintage mustang , and expected to do all the bodywork and paint in 10 days or something. Charlie is a craftsman and an "Artiste" of the highest quality. So happy to see him in his own shop doing what he loves, his own way, at his own pace. He looks so incredabily happy and relaxed. Well done that man. Respect from England. Loved watching your work.

i kind of agree with Charley that the coolest part in the trade would be doing a flawless restoration without the deadline factors ive been a car guy my whole life not professionally but still a hands on Craftsman and a full custom one of a kind job going through my shop are the best its nice knowing the customer is willing to forfeit a deadline over the quality of a kob or build yet as a businessman and a professional i still set timely goals on whatever i’m doing and a nice thing about doing a car or motorcycle is it is a luxury item for most people and its not critical to adhere to a deadline i was a fan of the American Hot Rod television show and was glad to see some follow up on Charley after all these years and that he was doing pretty well on his own i do hope he got what he was looking for which he indicated spending more time with his wife and children

I loved the cars Boy's shop turned out but I'm a hobbyist motorhead, and a professional construction guy- as I'm doing the job today, I was always looking at my staff, seeking to find the better ones to take to the next job or the youngest ones who could be even better if I invested some time in them. Boyd didn't invest much but spleen in his troops- Charlie Hutton's story and Mike Curtis' are just two that ended much better than Boyd wanted them too- all success went through Boyd and only through Boyd; ask Diane, his first wife.
