Long time fan here! COLLECTIVE SOUL was the very first rock concert I ever went to. It was in Charlotte, N.C. My Dad got the tickets and came and got 3 of my friends out of school to go to it!! Cool Dad, RIGHT!?! Anywayz, we didn't know the name of the band so halfway on our hour trip to Charlotte, I ask my Dad. "Dad, who is the band"? He responds happily, "Collective Soul"! I say, "Collective Soul, who is that"?? He say's, "they are a new band" So I'm like ahh...thinking this is gonna suck!! My AWESOME Dad turns on the radio and about 25 mins later he yells, "This is them and turns the radio up". My eyes get big as quarters and I jump outta my seat and yell, "OMG, I LOoooVE this band. I listen to them on the radio ALL THE TIME"!! I just didn't know the name at the time!! I say "Dad, you did a great job. Cool Dad move"!! Needless to say, I was very happy with his choice and we all had a blast all night long. Ross Childers changed my life forever that night without him knowing it!! I have loved electric guitar ever since that night. I mean I really LOVE it and ALL who play it. Ross plays with his soul. I hated to hear that he was no longer in the band. But things happen for a reason. Collective Soul ROCKS and I love the band so much. It was an amazing show and I have even went to more shows because I love the band so much. I am so glad that the band is still together and that you cool guys are still Rocking Out!! Great job to you all. I can not wait to hear more and see more of you guys. Many blessings to you all.
