I think in ears help save peoples voices nowadays. Don't have to sing over the monitors to hear themselves. I remember the lead singer of bullet for my valentine talking about that was a big problem he had.

Creed's drummer is underrated. If you listen carefully, the drums emphasize a lot. The song is structured to center around Scott's vocals, and he does that while at the same time picking his spots to expand the song with his fills. It's actually very impressive.
