Dave pleeeeeease get me on your show when the 90 day time frame hits and the SBA starts forgiving these loans so I can laugh in your face. You are single handedly ruining small business' and it's time someone shuts you down. Don't speak before you know what you're speaking about and you clearly don't know what you're talking about when it comes to the SBA loan

I own a small heating and air company and had other bussiness owners tell me I was crazy for not taking the loan. Family members told me I was foolish for struggling when the Government was giving away " Free Money ". Pretty sure they don't understand where the government gets it's money from. Meaning Taxes on the people and or printing more out of thin air which devalues the money we have. Now those same bussiness owners are scrambling to try and get the loans forgiven and or are scared of what they are going to have to do to pay them back Unfortunately some of them are still in denial, and my family who thought I was foolish are still cluless that this is a problem many businesses will face. Thanks Dave for staying true to your principles, and for stating the truth.

So basically, our states are so broke they can't pay unemployed workers unemployment...a benefit we have all been paying into for a long long time?! It was time for the government to fork over what they owe...when the time was necessary and they couldn't do it. Yet they would demand that you pay all loans at once if they see for and jail you if you cant

No matter what people believe, one party's platform is not that they will fix your life but rather try to make it so a bloated bureaucracy is not getting in your way while you try to improve your life. The other party's platform is that you are a victim of successful people around you and you have no chance of improving your life without the bureaucracy having more control over everyone's lives.

I have been attacked on social media for saying the businesses should have been debt-free and have an emergency fund. They say "NO ONE COULD HAVE PLANNED FOR A PANDEMIC!!!" Uh, well no one plans to be in a car accident either. Dave Ramsey started his business in his living room on a card table and now is a huge business that was not begging for a PPP loan. I think Dave knows a thing or two about Business Finance.

I agree with you. If they were not prepared then they should close. They reaped the benefits of a hot economy and max profits for quite sometime and never prepared for a rainy day. And when it comes to big businesses, too big to fail, should also mean too big to succeed. I am not for socialism but amazing to see how many "don't tread on me" people and businesses are begging for government assistance. All they are doing is proving to the government how mush people actually do need them. Don't keep feeding them that benefit.
@whatevergoesforme5129

@@Chris-dr4bl Well, to be fair to some businesses, profits are too small to be able to save for an emergency fund. And it is not the pandemic that shut down businesses. It is the government. For me, I would just declare bankruptcy and call it a day and work somewhere else before taking that loan.

I only wish I could give this more than one "thumbs up." Gracious. Fortunately, our church DID NOT take the PPP for the exact reason that it seemed inconsistent to fight against government involvement in the church, then stretch out our hand begging for help when things got tough! That, and we did not trust the scheme at all. Through it all, the Lord has blessed us. Not a single bill or wage missed,. (What a surprise.)

Plus, we never said it was wrong for a church to tap the PPP. We only said WE'RE not going to do so. Other churches might come to other conclusions. We make no law where there is no law.

@American Restoration Initiative they didnt "fake it" the pandemic is real . Sure you look at the statistic and see 99% survivor rate but what you don't understand is that if we didnt have quarentine measure the hospitals would not be physically capable of receiving such a huge number of infected and that 1% of death rate would jump to a higher number. You can say all you want if the goverment made the virus on purpose or china made to destroy the economy of other countries but to say the pandemic is not real just because you dont understand it is not fair. I see a lot of people say where is the virus i dont see anyone infected Well Duh its because of Quarentine that we were able to stop the spread. Hi from Australia, great advice again from Dave , it really amazes me how some highly educated people have no idea about managing money, I only have high school level , but I learnt when I was young to manage my money and not go into debt, except a mortgage to by my home, I paid for it in 7years . It was a modest house , and I only had a modest income , but it was mine.

He is smart about money, but not about the pandemic. Many people who survive are likely to suffer permanent effects, like a damaged heart or lungs. My niece had it in both of her lungs, and although she is expected to fully recover, it could take 6 months before that happens, and she can't work until she is fully recovered. Do you want the hospitals to be so full that they can't help you when you need it? It has happened. People with heart attack symptoms were turned away. That is one important reason to minimize the number of people who catch it. If the virus had been addressed immediately, it would never have gotten out of hand. Look at Germany. Look at New Zealand.
