Child....this is a girlfriend, not a wife, and if she was a wife you are being shown how she views your partnership to be YOU taking all the responsibility for HER state of affairs. You only quit a job when you have a better-paid job lined up or your business is starting to make income better than your current job.....the girlfriend stage is the best you're going to get and if that is causing you problems already....sad. I wish I had learned this lesson sooner. My Ex was like this girl. Not as bad thankfully. She held down a job. It just wasn't enough to cover her spending habits. I left her a single bill - her car payment - which she had before we met. I DID bail her out of getting the car repossessed (red flag anyone?) when we first met. Back then I was debt free with a savings. I would have advised the guy to dump the girl - until she grows up and starts handling her own problems. He should absolutely NOT marry the girl or "sleep" with the girl until she does.

As housewives/stay@home moms our job is to keep up on the house chores, raise healthy/happy children, keep food in the house, and have meals ready for when hubby comes home. Men who are cool with having housewives/ stay@home moms have to do their part too. Make sure that the $$ is coming in, pay attention to the family, and stay on budget.

I wish I would have listened to this advice years ago. I found myself dating men that would have me pay for things bc I had less debt than them and guilt me into buying meals, paying for gas, trips, etc. I was such an enabler which stemmed from a childhood of bailing immature parents out financially and emotionally.
