Unfortunately, not all of us were financially literate early. I was 35 when I finally educated myself and started taking steps. I went from $176,000 in debt with zero savings or retirement to now, 2 years later, fully debt-free and over $1000,000 net worth. I know that doesn't SOUND like a lot, but I'm incredibly proud of it. Now I'm fast-tracking my wealth building (investing $400,000 annually) and don't owe a dime to anyone. It's a good feeling!

Patrick, the reason your parents offered to help pay for college is because it would help your siblings. Asking them to buy you a car and pay your rent because you don’t want to get a real job would be enabling your bad behavior. You’re still young you could easily turn your life around but if you continue to keep the attitude that anything outside of the exact thing you want is out of the question, then nothing is going to change. I made more than $10k when I was working part time at McDonald’s to pay my way through school. Dont be a fool.

See what your state offers. In home caregivers get around $15/hr - not a lot, but it gets you money. Overnights are ridiculous ($5/hr). Get rid of the car pymt and sell the house if necessary. Or get your expenses to $3500/month. Get help from social service, church, friends etc

Julia in Oklahoma - Please look into becoming CNA certified. Some states will pay you to be your own spouse's caregiver. It's a wonderful program and full-time work/pay!
@Zee-zj2uh12 сағат бұрын
Wonderful concept! I hope she reads the comments here. She sounds so defeated and rightfully so. Her girls need to step up to the plate. My niece's husband had a horrible condition brought on by the jab. Their 4 girls, all very spoiled and entitled, didn't cope well. He only lasted 18 months and thankfully had great life insurance. I'm so sorry Julia is going through these trials and I pray she'll take Dave's advise all the way around.
@JennieEsterly12 сағат бұрын
@Zee-zj2uh It's so awful and tragic. When I lived in Colorado, I was a CNA. I worked for a company that paid their CNAs to be caregivers to their own family members. It was state funded. There were moms that were caregivers to their special needs children, daughters & sons that took care of aging parents, and spouses that cared for their ill spouses. They're evaluated by insurance, the state and disability to determine the hours of care they qualify for. (Each disability is different). Then once approved, the CNA logs their hours with the company and gets paid. I hope she sees the comments and I pray something like that is available to her! She would get paid and get tax breaks for taking her husband to all of his appointments.
@bettedavis926111 сағат бұрын
@@JennieEsterlyI'm not a CNA, but I am the paid caregiver for my disabled son through HCBS services paid for by Medicaid in our state. It's a win-win situation for our family.

Sorry but Eddie is not a millionaire. I am baffled that Dave goes to Great length to bless us with the definition of "net worth" but ignores deferred tax liabilities. Asset - taxes is < $1M. He is not free of the obligation just because taxes haven't been paid. Any certified balance sheet would not place $1M in equity. Signed ANY CPA.

Dave..STOP WITH THE "BABIES NOW" ADVICE.....DAYCARE DOES NOT ONLY ALWAYS EXIST..THERE ARE WAITING LISTS.. And if it is available it is outrageously expensive... We tell our children to make sure they have at least a $100,000 in savings before they have a child. They live 5 states away from us ,so we cannot take care of their babies. We work full-time still.
