@@bipsomma2483 Um yeah people definitely might have been physically harmed due to getting false blood test where a disease they may have is not showing up. Something they could possibly need life fighting treatment for. That is disgusting and would definitely physically harm someone. Also, swindling people out of millions and millions of dollars???? Yeah, that wouldn’t cause physically stress on someone’s body to lose all that money or anything. Think about things before you write it.

president camacho -- His wife described it a little differently. The various articles also tell of Gibbons' doubts that he voiced to the company. He was a scientist, so I think he was more concerned about his reputation being destroyed. If i hit my wife upside the head on January 1st, then she calls the police, i get taken in, interviews are conducted, i get out on bail, legal filings are done, pretrial hearings are completed, and a court date for November 30th is set, and a week before the trial is finally about to start DOESN'T MEAN I WASN'T GUILTY OF HITTING MY WIFE UPSIDE THE HEAD BACK IN JANUARY!!! I was listening to a podcast of about her and apparently her family is a descendent of one of the richest family in America who's wealth dwindled over time. Her dad apparently used to have a sense of entitlements and this whole 'paradise lost thing'. Even Elizabeth herself would say that she wanted to become a millionare when asked what she wanted to be when she was young. So it's safe to say that the whole family is a bunch of greedy pigs who'd go to treat lengths to get money.

I heard her. She did not, not say random words. She either lied or just stated the truth. He asked her why didn't she join them 5 months ago for a meeting. She said because they already investigated and checked her technology and everything was fine. Sure she avoided answering the question as to why she refused which personally she doesn't have to go! Maybe she doesn't know how to say that. She even asked them if they wanted to see everything for themselves and they told her no this just needs to get out in the public. So all I see is that she was brought down by public opinion and conformity so far. They're trying to do the same with Zuckerberg. Bully soft looking people out their business and takeover! As far as her actual technology and what specifically was so wrong they have yet to get into detail for their sudden curiousity. I'm fact it nearly appears they're just making up random stuff and got lucky because she turned out to be a liar. Still don't know exactly what she did specifically that was against the law.

She manipulated investors into believing her system was a resounding success by masking glitches (during product demos) with fake results. She couldn't even give a cogent explanation as to how the system...HER system, actually works. I'm glad her company was finally exposed as the sham that it was. Bad Blood is a great read! She answers in what is called "circular speech" or "circular conversation", it's a method narcissists use to confuse people and deflect attention from the main point when they are being challenged, they say a bunch of things that mean absolutely nothing and have no actual conclusion, they can also repeat themselves by using synonyms, so in one phrase they may be saying the same thing three times but using different words so it looks like what they are saying is the truth and also sometimes to make their speeches longer to tire you. They make themselves a performer. Narcissists can be very mentally exhausting for that very reason. The main problem I see in this interview is that the interviewer is not asking based on her answers, so he isn't pressing her or putting her on the spot, he is asking her questions that were already thought and written prior to the conversation.

I agree and I think people can get away with fraud when they have some sort of story like that, similar thing happening with the BLM movement, they are not proving that all the money they made from george floyd actually went back in to help black community. And it's really sad that people will use something like that to lie and take advantage bc then when there is another movement to help minorities, or another woman inventor/ceo who wants to really change things and do it the right way, people will doubt them. I think Elizabeth holmes biggest mistake was dropping out of Stanford and then wanting to rush and get rich - she thought she could take a shortcut. Maybe in other industries it's possible to do that, but not in science. she prob would have learned that much more had she graduated, maybe gotten an MD or something, and she could've actually given something legitimate back to the world and still been successful! There is no doubt she is a driven and intelligent person, but she got in too deep and started lying and took people's money. And now all she will ever be known for is the fraud.

The show shows a very romanticized version of what happened that cast Elizabeth in a much too sympathetic light. Read the book from the author of that Wall Street article. In reality, she was considerably more cold, dishonest and calculating than in the show.
@GizmoMaltese
@GizmoMaltese 2 жыл бұрын
@@absolutelypitiful3837 I thought she was pretty cold and dishonest in the show. The only sympathetic aspect is that of a girl in over her head and digging herself in deeper. But she clearly used Sunny for his money to keep her scam going. Why would Sunny invest in what he knew to be a scam? He didn't understand anything about biotech. I feel sorry for Sunny. He was already rich and he let himself get seduced by this con artist and had his life totally destroyed. Again, he didn't know anything about biotech so he probably believed Elizabeths claim that they would eventually be able to run all the tests. He was just trying to buy time and keep the company afloat until then.

I consider myself to be not too dumb but I have no goddamn idea what she's saying in any of her responses... Always find it suspicious when someone cloaks their explanations in industry lingo and terminology. You should be able to explain and answer so that non-industry people can understand. Instead I only have more questions. And you can see it on the host's face multiple time when glances out the side of his eyes... he is like "WTF?"

I do understand all this but there is a bottom line here, all lab testing methodology must be approved and thoroughly documented by the FDA, the criteria is objective, in other words results have to be accurate and repeatable and proven to be so. Once that is established they can market their tests, that has not been done on Theranos propietary tests except for one tests out of hundreds. If Theranos has been reporting out test results for tests that have not been FDA approved that's the equivalent of a drug company marketing a prescription drug that has not received FDA approval, it's unheard of and illegal.

When asked to explain the "product".She put it this way. "a chemistry is performed so that a chemical reaction occurs and generates a signal from the chemical interaction with the sample, which is translated into a result, which is then reviewed by certified laboratory personnel.” You could literally apply that same description to any chemical reaction. This woman is floundering and deflecting the questions. She says that they've sent their results to the FDA and yet it is specifically mentioned in their site "This technology has not been cleared or approved by the FDA". She goes on to say that they've submitted their nanotainers to the FDA for clearance. Their nanotainers are not the ones the FDA wants to test. Its their Edison "product". Their nanotainers are just containers for blood so of course they'll pass. The then use that boast that they have "FDA approval" even though only a small part of their system is approved and not the actual tester even. This chick has gone on in a "fake it till you make it" deal for far too long. There is no product here.
