I started with LOS in 2016 on a toy drone that only had angle mode. I went from there to the DJI phantom/Mavic cine world for video production. Now doing FPV, also cine for video production. I’m so glad to have found your channel and a return to the value of LOS for further skills development. Big thanks!

You are a very good pilot, I am impressed. As soon as I turn 90 degrees I lose total control, my mind can't process switching pitch and roll via LOS yet....but I can do the flippy floppies when directly behind the quad and that's really fun. I feel like it will even help me feel the throttle blips a little better when I'm in the goggles.

I built my first drone which is a alienR5 and all the gear to fly FPV About a month ago and I wanted to learn Line of sight first but I couldn't find any decent tutorial videos On how to Corner Properly As I already learned how to do flips And power loops from the rotor riot trick series. For some reason I found flying in Controlled circlesTo be much much More difficult than any flip or Power loop But after watching Your second tutorial video my flying changed dramatically. So I just want to say a big thanksTo the RCAddict For making these LOS tutorial videos. I think there is a lack of good Tutorial videosThat Explain how to Fly properly So Keep up the good work and I hope to see some more line of sight videos in the near future.

If the quad starts turning in the air (more or less) when increasing throttle (shown at 6:07) than that means that the weights on the quad are not distributed/balanced correctly? Your quad stays perfectly leveled when you throw it in the air.
@TheRCAddict7 жыл бұрын
Well, I don't think it does, but if it moves on high throttle punches that is the fault of the PID controller.

Something that I would like to see in a video is what is the best step to do when you loose orientation and the quad is too far to see.. I guess you hit the angle stick and then try to hover up and down? But is it maybe possible to set the failsafe that the quad hovers in place?
@TheRCAddict7 жыл бұрын
Well I run without the accelerometer off, so I don't have an angle switch, but I just tilt it in one direction and see if it is coming back to me haha, really difficult to tell though :/ Unless you have GPS nope
@michaelolsen8467 жыл бұрын
Great video! I really enjoy all your videos. Perhaps you could mention something about the idle speed when doing flips? Cutting thrust without it makes a flip pretty difficult and I think you have it mapped to a switch when you did the catch/crash? Just a suggestion. Keep up the great work and posting videos, you have some mad flying skills!
@TheRCAddict7 жыл бұрын
I meant the min throttle value as your "idle". This is when you cut your throttle to 0%. There is no switch involved. Punch throttle, cut throttle, flip over, and bring the throttle back up to recover.
@michaelolsen8467 жыл бұрын
Sorry for not being clear in my question. So I am guessing that you have some minimum rpms even when you cut throttle to 0%? If so, how do they stop when you catch your drone around 4:37? Arm-switch?

I have another question specifically on 1:16. I mentioned in my earlier question to you that I use Jumper T16. With rc, I cannot leave the controller like what you did in T:!6. It will drop to ground. I think something is really missing in my configuration on T16. What could it be?
@TheRCAddict5 жыл бұрын
Do you mean your radio has a spring that pulls the throttle back down? I was at the perfect throttle position to hover which is why I could let go
@neilfpv5 жыл бұрын
No. What I meant was that even if I tried my best to find the perfect throttle spot, it wouldn't stay. It will either go up or down. I just can't seem to achieve like how you were doing it. My hands are very stable. I'll try it again tonight since someone caught a bad settings in my Receiver section in BetaFlight. My yaw, roll and pitch were not set to 1500. I'll fix it today.

great stuff, i briefly tried acro in fpv and i didnt hate it (thanks DRL fpv sim), i am still worried bout reflexes when i get out of shape, and also camera tilt when i am trying to make a small change to my line, i notice a lot of pro's abandon a line and do something else instead of trying to make small line adjustments. in DRL even a 20degree camera angle is very difficult to make a small line adjustment, it seems to require either opposite yaw+normal roll, or normal yaw+opposite roll... i havent hit this problem yet in real life but i hope it is simpler than the sim, in the sim i end up need ing a pencil and piece of paper to figure out how to fly straight and level in a slightly different line than the one i'm on.....i really hate that feeling, its like the old joke '' you can't get there from here'... i have to practice in quite a busy area, dog walkers and kids going to the soccer pitches can appear from any angle and i need to be confident of my reflexes. ps. show some pics of the damage a 5inch beasty can do to a person,
