Look forward to the rest of the series. I have successfully programmed the AR637T and tuned AS3X and SAFE but had to call HH when I ran into some snags. Keep up the great videos!

I have now 2 such devices and more than happy with them! I use them currently for my gliders because of the build in vario.

thank you . i have not flown for 20 years so I am just getting back into it. I did not know i could plug the volt adapter into my smart battery i actually ordered spma 9556 and I bound the receiver last night but it just keeps beeping which from watching your video, i now believe i have to calibrate the esc again thank you
@TheRCAirMarshall4 жыл бұрын
If you have a smart battery, smart ESC, and the AR637T, you don’t need the voltage wire. That will only be for non-smart batteries to pass flight pack voltage to the receiver.

How much differance is there between the AR637T and the AR630, do they both do the same thing?
@TheRCAirMarshall3 жыл бұрын
AR637T offers full range telemetry, the AR630 is only fly-by and only works from about 100 yards away. The AR637T has an on board barometric altimeter which you can use to provide altitude via telemetry as well as set up a Vario. The AR637T has two full length diversity antennas that you can place anywhere you want, where the AR630 only has a single internal antenna which is only good for smaller 3S airplanes in my opinion. The AR637T has an SRXL2 port which allows connection to satellite receivers or channel expanders. And lastly the AR637T includes X Bus which is for connection of a variety of telemetry sensors. As far as AS3X and forward programming go, they are identical. In fact, the AR637T/8360T/631/630 all program the same.

Hi Dave Great video on the AR637T I just ordered the AR360 to try out. The setup looks like it’s going to be the same. You’re right, it looks scary to set up, but it’s NOT, everyone needs to watch your videos. I do have a question! Spektrum has always said don’t take the RX out of, for example the Timber, and installation it a Cobra (P39), which I agree complete different airframe. What’s happens with the AR637T when you change airframes with the same RX. I’m assuming then, when you do a factory reset And start over it doesn’t know it came out of a Timber! Just guessing. Thank You I hope is all is well with you, enjoyed watching you on HH Show Danny from Tennessee.

Hi Danny, with a box stock AR637T, you can absolutely just reset it and start over. I’ve done it MANY times through the process of making these videos. Hah. With the OEM AR637TA that you find on newer BNF planes, that’s not possible just yet. My understanding is that capability is on the way in a future firmware update.

Does AR637 work in nitro or gas airplanes or does vibration mess up the gyro?

thanks Dave. It was super easy to set up but how do i turn off the annoying sounds that represent altitude up and down
@TheRCAirMarshall4 жыл бұрын
Mike Kennedy are you talking about the Vario beeps? Like descending and ascending tones as the plane increases and decreases altitude?

hi i use quite a few of ar636a receivers in my models and the main reason why i dont use auto level / safe is that it corrects the plane too violently. does anyone know if the ar637t can function a soft auto level and still have 100% control ? regards Rich
@TheRCAirMarshall4 жыл бұрын
Hi Rich, in the AR637T, you have the ability to adjust the SAFE Gains which are exactly what you’re referring to. They adjust how quickly the plane attempts to auto level / correct. Adjusting the SAFE gains will soften up those abrupt self leveling corrections a lot. Hope that helps!
@notbadgerbutrich4 жыл бұрын
Perfect, thanks for the reply, so I can have low safe gains and high control throws ? that would really work for some of my models Regards Rich
@TheRCAirMarshall4 жыл бұрын
@@notbadgerbutrich Exactly... And if it's correcting too abruptly, turn the safe gains down a little more
