I ordered one of these in white but received a blue one instead, it's great boat but the prop steering let's it down, changing the electrics and fitting a servo operated rudder is what this boat needs

I like it. I grew up power boating, and this is a nice scale model. It looks like the real thing on the water with the wake and the way it rides and the speed it does. Many of the boats you show, even the thousand dollar ones, just dont look realistic on the water.

I’m wanting to build a scale shrimp boat like one my grandfather built, any suggestions as to what hull I should start with? It was 56’ long and had a 20’ beam, 14’ at the head stem and 12’ at the stern with a 3’ keel at the stern.

In my experience those cheap RC models are amazing and worth their money. Unfortunately I can not fix the transmitter, which is usually the first to go. But even so, it is still worth the try for hours and hours of fun. I just wish these had spare parts. Don't know about the specific one, though... but maybe it does.

Companies should model their yachts to function like dual motor fishing boats. I captained a 42’ mini yacht. Having dual rudders in front of the props would have even better control, add on an adjustable trim tab to keep the now down would really make that yacht plow into the wakes with stability. Customer comes back in the store one day. Pissed and wanted his money back. We asked why. He said the R/C he bought was Not "Ready to Run" like the Box and we said it was. We continued to ask.. he told us, he took it out of the box, sat it on the ground and squeezed the Trigger to make it go and it wouldn't. Even tried to Steer it and it wouldn't do anything. So we asked if he charged the Batteries, Installed batteries, turned the Radio and the Vehicle on... He Said "NO! I shouldn't have to. It says Ready to Run, Right out of the Box." Instead of Arguing with him, we refunded his money and never saw him again.. Had several like him come into the Store. Only ones we Turned away, were the ones trying to Return Stuff they could NOT have Gotten from Us... Yes, this was a True Story. There are People just that stupid in this world. Like the one guy who could not get his helicopter to fly because he was Tossing it like a Football First.

The became Regulars after that. We didn't treat anyone like idiots tho we did think it. I'd say 1/4 of those wanting their money back, listened and Learned.

I have this boat but what's annoying is that it doesn't have reverse. I also took off the black windows and replaced them with perspex and made an interior for it. Planning on repainting it now too and putting some lights onboard

@@jlrguy2702 I don't actually no, I just have some photos but it did inspire me to build my own yacht to scale and was a good starter project. It was also easy to see how and what I needed for this. One day I'll build a custom yacht and have videos / photos of the build. Good luck with yours!

How funny I'd taken my wife to her Demitaligist.And they had a nice yacht model on display.I asked if I could take a few pictures of it and I took several it was very well detailed for a shelf queen..After the misses came out of his office I mentioned that I built rc cars and trucks and boats.I was surprised when he asked if I could make his boat on display into a working rc boat.So I gave him a list of what's needed and have his boat on my work bench.Not much to do until the parts and all the electronics arrive.Wish I could send a few picks it's almost the dame design just a bit bigger.And it's silver with black inserts and a very nice wooden back deck and steps that lead up to a detailed interior.Looking forward to taking his static model and making go on the water with a good radio and setup power plant.
