What a fun plane! Thing flies like a missile if you want to! I really like the better ball links (included tool as well) and the optional flaperons and spoilerons. Looks like the 3S/300mAh batteries are the one to really enjoy this plane with.

Brushless UMX glider. EXACTLY what I have been searching for. The XK A800 got me hooked on this idea (elevator servo burned out and totaled the plane after 3 flights though). And with the 3s motor, I think this one takes position over the umx timber evo on the wish list. Can anybody else relate?

The geese are so high because you are in their migratory flight path as they fly south for the winter. I'm in Southeast Missouri near the Mississippi River, and you can see flocks like that one after the other all day long as far as the eye can see in both directions. In the spring, you'll see the same thing as they go back north.

Nice plane, love the gliding stuff. When I was in Air Cadets in my teens, I flew in gliders a number of times. I do remember that the first time our squadron went gliding, I noticed that each time someone went up, they did one "stunt", a roll, or in my case a hammerhead stall. I later found out there was a competition with the pilots to see how many people they could get to suffer motion sickness. I don't get motion sickness. 🙂 Also, Nate, probably the reason that you can't see the screen of the camera maybe because both the LCD screen and your sunglasses have polarized filters on them. It's great for sunglasses since it cuts down on glare. If you try rotating the screen 90 degrees, if they are both polarized, then you will be able to see what is on the screen.

Hey Nate, this is the next UMX on my list. I only fly off grass so I really like these since they can be hand launched, can be flown in parks and are generally under 250 grams. I take it you’d agree it’s a good choice for a versatile plane? Never had a glider. Did find you had to mix elevator/throttle to avoid the plane pitching up under full power? Hi, I have a question, I purchased this model today but I noticed that in the package there is no adhesive velcro to attach the battery to the model (in addition to the belt which is already in the plane) I noticed that with the belt alone the battery moves, did you put self-adhesive velcro under the battery to secure it? No clouds, no wind....great day to fly! However, it's hard for us to watch as their is no reference in the sky to tell angle of attack, speed, etc. Thanks for the quick comparison to it's big brother. I've been debating on which size to get as their is often 5-7mph breeze in New Mexico. Will probably need to review your video on the big brother. BTW, as a noobie I've often wondered what the initials "UMX" stand for? Can you explain the differences in the different acronyms manufacturers (OK, just the few popular ones) use?

It is indeed EPS because EPS is both stiffer and lighter than EPP and EPO (so it's still the better choice for most ultra-micro models...plus they're light and strong enough they don't typically break much or at all when crashed)!

Another question, I read that when the light is blue on the model the mode is SAFE, while with red light the mode is AS3X. The thing I noticed is that when the model is in SAFE mode, the control surfaces move quickly and noticeably, while in AS3X mode you can hear the noise but they don't seem to move (unless you they move very little) is this normal in your experience? Is this plane supposed to go on an upward climb at almost like a 60 degree angle when you have it at 50% throttle? If I do a full throttle pass in safe mode it will try to loop at much as it can with SAFE on. I have to literally hold the elevator down to make it fly straight. When you went 100% on throttle did you use the transmitter to nose down all the way?

Good day everyone. For people using EdgeTX radio like TX16S or Zorro. Here the set up: Protocol : Mode=Multi / Type=DSM / Subtype=X 2F Inputs: channel 1-4=AETR / Channel 5= Safe-AS3X / Channel 6=Flaperon - Follow flaperon Advance setup in the manual to activate it on ur TX, it works well. This is a BNF airplane which means Bind “and” Fly! It does not come with a radio or batteries. You’ll find all of that linked in our video description box. You also might want to consider a RTF (Ready To Fly) plane as that will likely come with everything (or almost everything) needed to fly! Happy to make a recommendation for you! The benefit of BNF airplanes is only buying the controller once, then saving money on planes like this as you can have literally hundreds connected to just one transmitter! Hope this helps! 🙏👍💯❤️⚓️

Their response is that the plane is on back order, when it clearly states it is available and in stock. I am not able to get answers from them. I know this is a late response but I just now saw this. I too ordered mine about a month ago and it showed in stock. After 10 days it still had not shipped so I called HH and asked about it. The lady said sho would look into it and call me back. She called back a few hours later and told me they had stopped shipping them because of a possible problem with the plane. Basically a recall of sorts. She didn’t go into it any further but she gave me 20,000 points on my account for my troubles. I ordered the Apprentice STOL 700 instead and got it on a few days. I just reordered the Conscendo a week ago and it shipped 2 days later. The 20,000 points she gave me was worth $50 off my next purchase so I was pretty happy with that customer service. It sucks that you didn’t get the explanation you deserved.

Beware: Horizon's billing system is holding my money hostage. A back ordered item just shipped and since then I have been charged 3 times and counting for the same amount and contacting them has been of no use as they can't release bank holds. Horizon is responsible for my inability to shop for Christmas so be cautious of how you spend your money.

I should have taken the hint when HH refused to take my money a short time before this due to a "security issue" on a $100 purchase. My questioning about this matter to HH has never been responded to. Another seller had no such problem taking my money. I'm looking forward to more videos from Hobbyzone products! Hint hint! Oh, and when the backordered item was "shipped" it still sat in their posession for days before my further complaining actually got the part sent out of their office.

@@TheRcSaylorsbecause they hold people’s money hostage. I just purchased this with some batteries and a charger for a total of $299. Everything was in stock on their website. It took 36 days to arrive during which I was charged a total of $678 on separate charges and only once it arrived did I then get my money back. It’s fraud and someone should report them to BBB .
