As a muslim, I wanted to take the time to give a different POV of the above, so please find the explanations for all the above arguments below: Argument 1: The development of the embryo - The actual sequence of embryonic development: Cartilage precursors (like hyaline cartilage) form first, and as development progresses, bone cells (osteoblasts) gradually replace the cartilage with bone tissue. This is part of the skeletal system's development, which begins to form in the early weeks of embryonic development. - The development of the skin (the epidermis and dermis layers) starts a little later than bone formation. The ectoderm forms the skin, beginning with the formation of the epidermis (outer layer) and the dermis (inner layer of skin) shortly after the skeletal system begins to take shape. Argument 2: There was no ‘matter’ in the Big Bang Theory - The word used in Arabic is رَتْقًۭا which translates to ‘a joined entity’. Nothing states that it was an object or matter. Just an entity (without stating its nature) that was joined. Argument 3: Iron from the sky - Islam never claimed that other elements came from elsewhere, so I fail to see where your argument discredits anything. It never singled it out as a revelation it was just part of a verse speaking of God’s creation. Nothing stated that iron was the only one. Argument 4: Mountains as stabilizers - The quran never stated that mountains were not a consequence of tectonic plate activity or movement. Only that they were ‘pegs’ and t’o prevent the earth from shaking (or trembling)’. What they are a consequence of was not stated, only that they had a stabilizing nature. Mountains are considered geologically as contributors to isostatic stability .. so I again fail to see where the argument stands. Also, keep in mind that the original language of the Quran is Arabic and the word ٱلْأَرْضَ is much like the word earth, which could signify the ground in a specific area as well as the planet itself. Argument 5: Stars are just meteorites - We never claimed they weren’t. In Islam it is known that that we, as humans, cannot see Jins and Angels unless God wills. Therefor it is above human ability to see Jin as God can. So this fact cannot be proven or disproven. Argument 6: Origin of Sperm - As-Sulb (الصُّلْب) can be understood anatomically to refer to the region associated with procreation in men, particularly when interpreted in the context of the male reproductive organs. Though its primary meaning is the spine or lower back, it is often used in classical Arabic and Qur'anic commentary to refer to the loins or lower abdominal area, which includes the genital region in men. - The seminal vesicles produce roughly 70% of semen fluid. In this way, the spouting water (semen) is coming from between the loins and chest-bones can be interpreted as the semen being released from the seminal vesicles in the pelvic region located between the male genital region (as-sulb) and the ribs. - Argument 7: The child resembling mother or father The direct translation from Arabic to English is the following: “When the semen of the man prevails over that of the woman, the child will be a male, by Allah’s will. But when the semen of the woman prevails over that of the man, the child will be a female, by Allah’s will.” Which fits modern understanding of how a fetus becomes man or woman. - The translation you had found was simply not the correct one, as the direct Arabic text was: ذا علا ماء الرجل ماء المرأة، ذكر بإذن الله، وإذا علا ماء المرأة ماء الرجل، أنثى بإذن الله which translated directly to the above and NOT to the translating given in this video Argument 8: angel decides after baby’s development - The hadith number 6397 is “When the male’s water meets the female’s water, and the sperm is released into the womb, Allah decrees whatever He wills. Once the sperm is fertilized and the embryo is formed, Allah commands it and gives it life.” - There is nothing to say that an angel will decide the sex … Could you show me where you got your translations? As there seems to be an issue with it, if you send it to me I’ll gladly crosscheck the Arabic version… Argument 9: The flys and the wings • Pathogens in One Wing (Disease): The idea that one wing contains disease would refer to the fly's exposure to various harmful bacteria and pathogens, especially since flies feed on decaying organic matter and garbage, environments rich in bacteria. Their bodies, particularly their legs and wings, can pick up these pathogens and transfer them to surfaces they land on. • Antimicrobial Properties in the Other Wing (Cure): The concept of one wing carrying a cure might refer to the antimicrobial peptides or the antibacterial substances that flies have evolved to survive in their unsanitary environments. These properties could be present in small quantities on their bodies, including the wings, which have been shown to harbor bacteria-resistant features. As to one wing vs the other, there is no research that studies it this closely, but it is known that the fly has both the pathogen and the antibacterial substance to fight it. Argument 10: Camel Urine - You cannot simply take things out of context. The advice to drink the urine was given specifically to that person and that person only. There have been studies indicating that camel urine contains some compounds with antibacterial effects, and the prophet had probably prescribed it as Allah had guided him to for that specific man who most likely had a bacterial infection and this was the most easily available form of ‘antibacterial medicine’ he had access to. The prophet DID NOT advise us all to drink it. He has many hadiths where he gives general advise to Muslim people, but this was not one of them. You cannot make a generalization out of a single case study… Argument 11: The height of humans Archaeological evidence suggests that early humans, particularly hunter-gatherer societies, were generally taller than those living after the transition to agriculture. Furthermore, the archaeological record is incomplete, as it only includes preserved skeletons, which represent a fraction of the total human population that ever lived. Only a small portion of early human species (e.g., Homo sapiens, Neanderthals, Homo erectus) have left skeletal remains, and many of these are fragmented or poorly preserved. We lack a comprehensive set of data for many ancient human populations. To add: Modern methods of measuring ancient human height, such as bone analysis and forensic anthropology, allow us to estimate the heights of people in past populations. However, these methods are not perfect, and the estimates are based on the assumption that certain skeletal features correlate consistently with height. There is still uncertainty in these measurements due to biological variation and other influencing factors… In other words, this one is simply not scientifically verifiable, meaning it cannot be deemed right or wrong. Bonus Argument (in lack of a better name): as to the resemblances between biblical and quranic beliefs, you should know that muslims belive in the heavenly origin of the bible and torah, we just believe that they were largely altered by human influences over time. LASTLY: This is not to start a fight (I promise I'm not being sarcastic), and I do not believe in Islam just because of these facts, I have many reasons as to why I have chosen this religion. But in regards to scientific facts, there are many more … as well as different miracles including numerical and linguistic miracles. I urge you to investigate the matter again, this time truly reading the sources from translations that are closer to the Arabic version, and to seek the different definitions of different words, as Arabic is a very complex language. Keep in mind that sources and contexts are extremely important in any research or search for the truth … and lastly, please keep an open mind and a kind heart towards people of different beliefs. Although I understand you are trying to educate people on what you believe, I felt hurt by how mockingly you ended the video… Again, not saying all this to start a fight, just to give a different point of view. Have a nice day and thank you for reading if you got this far ...

I will agree however that a lot of the Buddhas teachings are nice and the Buddha seems to have followed his conscience and had no knowledge about God thus he shall perhaps be in paradise. God does say he winks at our ignorance (Acts 17:30). We should however still tell Buddhist the good news since no man can pay for his own sins and all have sinned. That’s why Jesus came to die for us all. Jesus wants us to spread the message to all the world then shall the end come. Remember that when we are teaching people the good news, that we are to tell them to seek for God and he shall answer them for that’s the promise of the Lord. Jesus lives and hears our prayers. 1:00 Perhaps more importantly, the Quran makes no mention of the fertilization of the ovum by spermatazoa, which other ancient scientists didn't know about either. It seems to reflect the idea that babies are made directly from semen, a common misconception in ancient embryology. Something similar can be seen in Surah at-Tariq ayah 6. Of course, semen simply carries the spermatazoa which themselves develop into embryos, but ancient scientists seemed to believe that humans are basically just hardened semen.

The bible actually does have scientific miracles. In Revelations 21:15-21 12 gemstones are used to build the new Jerusalem. “The first was jasper, the second sapphire, the third agate, the fourth emerald, 20 the fifth onyx, the sixth carnelian, the seventh chrysolite, the eighth beryl, the ninth topaz, the tenth chrysoprase, the eleventh jacinth, the twelfth amethyst.” The property that these gems share is that their crystal structure is anisotropic. When you observe anisotropic crystals with a microscope using cross polarised light the show all the colours of the rainbow, whereas isotopic crystals like diamond or ruby behave like a polarising filter meaning at certain angles, cross polarised light would make them appear black. Nobody knew about this phenomenon until centuries later and John the apostle sure as heck didn’t know about it either

There’s actually a rather mainstream theory that postulates that the forging of iron was actually in part started by use of meteoritic iron, so for a period of human history the heavens was the ONLY place iron could come from. Also it ain’t too hard to find a rock that came from heaven and notice “oi that’s iron in there”
@robertdegroot8302

Embryology: You really should have pointed out that in embryology, only the sperm is mentioned. No EGG! Exactly what we'd expect from a fool. Waterbasis of life: firstly, it is wrong because Quran says Jinn are made from (smokeless) fire, so not water. This is because the water verse is not referring to water, but to 'fluid'. It's trying to say life is made from sexual fluid, i.e. sperm. Iron: most iron does not come from meteorites. More importantly, when Quran speaks of 'sending down' something, it doesnt refer to meteorites from space. It just means it's a gift from Allah up in heaven. It also says cattle and clothing were 'sent down'. By the way: when discussing scientific miracles and blunders in Quran, better restrict yourself to use Quran only. Hadith are easily dismissed by Muslims. There are lots of verses to show the earth is flat with the sun circling around it.

Embryology. Good point. Water: This is repeat of the "Primordial Water" creation myth, where water was there before the creation. The Qur'an also mentions that Allah's throne was upon water before creation. Iron: The Qur'an states that God "sent down" iron, as well as other things like kettles. Following this interpretation, one could say that cows were also "sent down" from space.

@TheLifeConqueror
@TheLifeConqueror 2 ай бұрын
Actually, the claim that there are "no scientific miracles in the Quran" overlooks both the Quran’s approach to scientific knowledge and the limitations of interpreting ancient texts through only a modern lens. The Quran’s language and imagery are not intended to be a science textbook but to guide, inspire, and encourage reflection, using terms understandable in both the past and present. Each point mentioned, if thoughtfully examined, doesn’t debunk the Quran’s statements but shows how complex knowledge has been understood by different cultures and times. For example, embryology as described in Surah 23:12-14 isn’t meant to “copy” Aristotle or Galen, as the speaker suggests, but describes stages that align broadly with what science later confirmed. Many ancient thinkers had theories, but the Quran’s description aligns remarkably well with what we know now, and it stands out in its poetic accuracy for a 7th-century text. On the creation of the universe, Surah 21:30 mentions the heavens and earth once being a single entity, which was then “parted.” This is not merely copying Genesis but speaks of a “oneness” that scientists only began to theorize with the concept of the Big Bang. And when the Quran says, “We made every living thing from water,” it conveys a fundamental truth of biology, discovered centuries later-that water is essential to all life. To assume that desert dwellers had such insight without revelation strains credibility. Saying Aristotle also observed life’s connection to water doesn’t negate the Quranic reference, especially since the Quran’s statement isn’t just a passing observation but an affirmation of a scientific fact that stands the test of time. As for the Quran mentioning “iron sent down from the heavens” (Surah 57:25), this aligns with scientific knowledge that iron came to Earth via meteorites. Yes, the ancients may have referred to iron as “heavenly metal,” but the Quran makes a clear, deliberate statement that iron was “sent down.” This kind of specific phrasing resonates with modern understanding that iron is indeed extraterrestrial in origin. Claiming that such a detail doesn’t qualify as insightful or remarkable ignores the precision in the language chosen. The video mentions that the Quran’s description of mountains as “pegs” (Surah 78:6-7) is not miraculous. But consider: the fact that mountains do have “roots” that extend into the Earth’s crust was only scientifically confirmed centuries after the Quran’s revelation. True, Job 28:9 or Psalm 18:7 in the Bible refer to mountains metaphorically, but the Quran’s term “pegs” directly relates to the modern geological fact that mountains stabilize the Earth’s crust. No ancient text spoke of mountain “roots” in such a stabilizing context until modern geology verified it. Regarding the Quran’s mention of stars as missiles for devils (Surah 67:5), this is often misunderstood. The Quran’s descriptions use metaphorical and symbolic language, not scientific slang, to convey deeper truths and principles. This symbolic style is seen throughout ancient texts, including the Bible, where poetic language describes events in ways that aren’t literal, but deeply meaningful to readers across ages. The claim that the Quran’s view on reproduction is inaccurate ignores that terms like “between the loins and the ribs” (Surah 86:5-7) are general descriptions for locations, not scientific terms. Similarly, the hadith about Adam’s height or camel urine is not part of the Quran’s message, nor is it central to Islamic belief. To take these literally and then use them to undermine Islam is like taking isolated statements from other religious texts and claiming they define the entire belief system. No where in the Quran does it say to "drink camel urine." The prophet just used camel urine once as a medicine to help someone feel better. Even today, scientists use camel urine in some medications that we use because it's effective. The video’s final comments about “miracles” being more like “errors” reveal a misunderstanding about the purpose of scripture. The Quran’s references are worded to offer insights while remaining timeless, inviting deeper understanding as science advances. Miraculous or not, the Quran’s statements, revealed centuries ago, align well with modern knowledge, which is worth thoughtful consideration rather than ridicule.

Thank you for clarifying everything. Most people believe in this but when you go and see all the reports about all those verses and hadith you see that the lack of nuances of the video makes the Quran looks false. Furthermore, if you analyze all the older theories of Aristotle and the others you find that they had a lot of flaws and mistakes, sometimes they were right sometimes they were wrong, even though the Quran says that stars can be used to kill demons (which is not prouved) you can't deny it bc we don't see demons and angel son we can't refute it. So the question is how can an illiterate can know things of the older times of ancient Greeks, Egyptians, Babylonians... Taking what's true and leaving what's false and without making real mistakes. If you look at the camel's urine the prophet Muhhamad (pbu) it was for a person that had a disease in particular, the muslims today know that this is why they don't drink it. Every verses and every hadith is examined by the scholars very carefully. Those verses are not taken lightly by muslims and actually the majority of the muslims don't believe in Islam for those miracles they simply think it's the truth and the best way of living life. There is some miracles of the dispositions of the word in the Quran, i'm not talking of the simple numerical miracles but more complexe codes and math in the Quran, I invite to take a look. I would advice you to look for historians, comparative theologians, linguists, real experts in the field and not believe in this light edited work probably stolen from a bunch of sites of hatred. This shows a lack of accuracy and nuances in the statements of this video, it's clearly to make fun of other religion (especially if we look at other videos...)with non-accurate, recycled hating arguments it's not something people should waste their time on.

@@ClausVanPatten You bring up a great point about how the Quran keeps the truths from old knowledge but doesn’t repeat the mistakes of past civilizations. This is amazing for a text from the 7th century. For example, think about how the Quran talks about how humans grow in the womb: “We created man from an extract of clay. Then We placed him as a sperm-drop in a firm lodging. Then We made the sperm-drop into a clinging clot, and We made the clot into a lump [of flesh], and We made [from] the lump, bones, and We covered the bones with flesh; then We developed him into another creation. So blessed is Allah, the best of creators” (Quran 23:12-14). While many old ideas about how babies grow were wrong, the Quran’s words are closer to what modern science says. This shows that the knowledge in the Quran is beyond what humans knew at that time. You are right about the importance of the Quran's math and words, which experts like Dr. Jeffrey Lang and Dr. Maurice Bucaille have looked at. For example, the words “seven heavens” appear exactly seven times in the Quran, and the word “day” (yawm) is mentioned 365 times, matching the solar year. These numbers are not by chance, as they are spread across a book shared over 23 years without changes. Dr. Bucaille, a French doctor, said in his book The Bible, The Quran, and Science: “I could not find a single error in the Quran that conflicted with modern science.” These things show the Quran’s depth and exactness, which supports its divine origin. Regarding the idea that stars are used against devils in Surah 67:5, it’s important to know that this statement is a symbol, not a science fact. As you said, it cannot be disproven because it talks about unseen things. But the Quran also says stars can be used to find your way: “And it is He who has placed for you the stars that you may be guided by them through the darknesses of the land and sea” (Quran 6:97). This shows that stars were understood as helpful tools long before modern science. By talking about stars both as symbols and as tools, the Quran shows it can speak to both spiritual and physical truths in a timeless way. I’ve studied a lot of religious texts for years. So I know what I’m talking about. I make sure I present all my claims with proof, evidence, sources, and examples.

@@Petru-r9b The copying process for the gospels was completely decentralised, and our earliest manuscripts are exceedingly early compared to other documents from the classical era (we have gospel fragments from the second century and complete copies from the third century). And countless citations of the gospels in the writings of the Church Fathers. This means that any major alteration would have to have been made extremely early on for text critics to detect it. Something as major as "Jesus didn't really die" would have to have been edited out in the first generation of copies for all four gospels. If you want to look for more information on this there's an old Mike Winger playlist called evidence for the Bible and several of the videos deal with this. Or you can read James White's book The King James Only Controversy which is a good introduction to text criticism. Muslims making this claim are basically contradicting their own scripture. The Quran repeatedly claims that the Christians of Mohammed's day have authentic scriptures called the Injeel (the Arabic version of the Greek word for gospel). And that Christians should judge Mohammed's message by how well it measures up to that. Since we have so many copies that pre-date Mohammed we know for a fact that the gospel text the Christians of 7th century Arabia had was the same text that we have today. Watch any video on the Islamic Dilemma for more info on this.

Big, BIG translation mistake at the 4:03, where you talk about the stars. The Quran doesn't tell you that "Stars are missiles thrown at Satan", no. Let me explain you: At that sura, the word "Rucm" is used. It doesn't mean to throw, yet it means to "Make something up - Guessing blindly" For example, in Al Surah Al Kahf, it is used as “They were five, their dog was the sixth, they will ˹only˺ be guessing blindly" And about to demons: When we talk about demons, it is usually thought as the Lucifer, but in the Quran, the demons are used to describe people who went astray. In the surah, talking about the "demons and the stars", it describes astrologers, "making up" stories looking at the stars. So, let's take a look at the surah with the true translation now: "We decorated the closest sky with the stars. We've made the stars for demons (astrologers, the ones who went astray) as an occasion for them to make up things (about the future)

As a christian who has studied the Quran, I must say that the strongest piece of evidence FOR it is the way that it is written. Islam claims that Muhammed couldn't read or write, and while that may be false, it doesn't change how absolutely beautifully written the Quran is. If you could make a video on the linguistic structure of the Quran, that would probably be the slam dunk for anyone who has read it with sincerity.

I could perhaps shed some light on this. Since you have studied the Quran, you likely are aware that many of the stories found in it are plagiarized. Well, this also accounts for a lot of the Quran’s “beauty”, many beautiful passages from it are just reskinned Christian hymns about Jesus, ironic right? And on a personal note, as someone who has also studied the Quran, even buying and reading part of a physical copy, its not all that beautiful. About 99% passages consist of “X is among the wrongdoers, and surely a most grievous punishment awaits them.” or “Allah is the most X and the All-Y (99 times over)” And for the little parts of the Quran that could possibly be original, the “eloquence” just sounds like an 8th grader trying to do an impression of an English aristocrat, you can so obviously tell Muhammed was trying to use big words and fancy phrases where they add nothing to the text. There is even a Hadith where Muhammed says that he has been blessed with eloquent speech, so we can infer from this he was already somewhat known for his unique style of language, not exactly hard to translate those skills into your “revelations”. Lastly, even if the Quran really was more beautiful and brilliantly eloquent than any human can do (which its not), it can easily be explained as the work of a fallen angel, evil spiritual beings with far greater knowledge and skill than us. Consider the voice we hear from the one TRUE God in the Bible, it is firm, still, and plain, God feels NO need to impress us with fancy words and poetics, when he speaks in first person in the bible, its always in a way the reader can understand, firm, commanding, yet still and plain. Only Satan and his minions feel the need to flaunt with poetics. Hope this helps.
@KadeKreuger
@KadeKreuger 3 ай бұрын
Let me be clear, I am not talking about the use of big words, anyone can write big words. But if you look at the Quran in arabic, there are many beautifully written verses that are read the same both forwards and backwards, and has many other amazing literary features which Muhammed did not call attention to, it was only when it was studied many years later that these things were discovered. As for the argument of the Quran perhaps being the work of a demon collaborating with humans, this IS possible, but not at all conclusive. Let's not take away from an interesting discussion by dismissing it as "satanic" without any solid proof.

Regarding the verse about the formation of the fetus, could it not be that the lump of flesh is the flesh in which the bone is formed, since the flesh intended in the verse is the formation of muscles in a manner consistent with the bone? As for the male semen, the testicles are nourished by nerves and blood supplies from places extending to the lower spine. The nerve network that nourishes the testicles comes from areas near the lower spine (sacrum), which may explain the connection between the sacrum and the testicles. Mountains actually act like pegs according to the concept of isostasis and tectonic equilibrium, which could fit the Quranic description. However, this description should be understood in a rhetorical context, because in modern science, there are approaches that show that mountains play an important role in the equilibrium of the Earth’s crust, which reinforces the idea that mountains act as pegs or supports. Speaking about scientific miracles in general, it does not mean that the Qur’an was the first to give this information, but rather it corrects it. Yes, there are those who thought the same as what was written in the Qur’an, but the Qur’an did not say that no one thought about or stated these matters. Also, you should talk in an upcoming video about the numerical miracle in the Quran, because I found it very convincing, Since Muhammad (May God bless him and grant him peace) was illiterate.
