You should be so proud of yourself for how much you and your videos have got people into and keeping up skating. I can feel the emotion in this video and even tonight skating at sunset with a newly made skate friend, we were saying "Chin up, shoulders straight across, snack area TIIIGHT, fun zone down!" Skating makes you realise just how strong and resilient your body is - every knock, fall & trip - You get yourself back up and go again. Everything negative just melts away instantly and no matter what, I'll never quit at it because it's genuinely intoxicating and the people in the roller skating community are just pure gems - And you're a huge part of the community to all of us around the world! :) x

Hi Dirty, I'm a 45 year old kid from Poland living in London, UK. I skated as a kid on cheap, strap on, metal skates. One day I came across your videos and I watched one after the other. Guess what, you inspired me to get myself some skates (now I have 4 pairs of Reidells) and I started to skate again in May this year. You give me life gurl! Love your videos, love you too! Keep inspiring us Dirty! Loads of love from London! Peter 🤗

Just wanna share this: I bought a pair of skates months ago and for some reason I just was not able to learn. I thought that maybe there was something wrong with the pair so I bought another one and well, I still did not improve. I stopped for almost a month out of frustration. Earlier this afternoon, I felt a certain resolve that I should just maybe sell my newer pair and give up for good. But I came across one of your videos for beginners and thought that I should give it one last go, and safe to say, I would definitely keep doing this! My ten minutes of trying your tips tonight was miraculous! I was better than those weeks I worked so hard for in the past! Please don't stop doing this!! You're awesome! You're making a difference especially in these times. :) Thank you!

This was absolutely beautiful. It brought joyful tears to my eyes. I’m a 37 year old female and a year ago, this month, I experienced a very emotionally challenging and difficult breakup from my ex-boyfriend. The beginning of this year was the toughest, immediately following the end of the holiday season. I woke up many mornings asking God, “why did He allow me to wake up”? I was on the verge of hurting myself from this heartbreak I felt. I’m in a much better place now, though. I’m still healing, but I’m better. I used to skate back in the 90’s as a child. I would go to the rink with my friends every Friday night for teen night. I absolutely LOVED skating. Always. As life continued to go on, more responsibilities, becoming an adult, I just forgot about the joy I felt when I had my skates on my feet. The freedom. A couple of months post my breakup last year, something came over me. Something put the joyful spirit of skating back into me again. I swear to God, had it not been for skating and for you, I don’t even know if I’d be here right now. Skating has been the only thing to keep my mind off of the heartbreak and betrayal from my ex/breakup. Skating has become my new love and I don’t think about him nor the breakup as much as I used to. Thank you so much, Deb. You make a TREMENDOUS difference! More than you know. You have purpose and I’m slowly starting to realize that I do, too. God bless you. ❤️💕🦋🙏🏽

You are a champion Dirty Deborah!! This helping all age groups but the younger generations especially because instead of coping with traumatic seasons in life, or bullying, or feeling like you don't fit in by venting out through using drugs or gang violence, or addicted to a screen, you are the steward for an avenue that challenges the one trying in you're there from the get go. I tell my girls who are 4&6years that first we need to be proficient in the foundation,and I give the analogy of a house with a sturdy foundation, and I tell them that you are sent from The Lord because we see your love beaming through your teachings,and having it accessible online too is just double miracle!! We've been homeless for 6 years and their dad chose the street so my girls have been down and out but through your school all three of us are challenged to grow-espwxially because you make it so accessible by giving all the details! Every detail helps immensely! I showed my daughter rolling your shoulders back and that's having them straight across. My 6yrold was like "wow" big difference! Keep up the phenomenal work Dirty!! The queen of roller skating who's passing the baton to the next generation. And they'll pass it on too!

It’s off topic but I have a question I can’t find an answer to anywhere!!!! I’ve gotten good at transitions but the catch is, it’s only at a certain speed. Once I’m going fast everything goes out the window and I can’t do it anymore. Is this something that will come with time or is transitioning at high speeds different??!!?
@Dirtydeborahharry3 жыл бұрын
Are you going faster than when you did your first transition? Turning at speed really develops organically as you get better. Keep practicing your turns at your current speed until they are second nature. You will then notice that you are going faster and faster.

@@Dirtydeborahharry going at a leisure pace I can do it with no problem, it’s just going fast downhill, nope nope nope. Thank you!! That is so helpful. It’s just so frustrating because I catch my self going fairly fast and there will be a car coming or something and it takes me forever to stop because first I have to carve a bit to slow down enough to then plow stop to slow down enough to then toe stop drag lol.
