RUS and BLR athletes are punished while e.g US athletes never faced anything like that no matter that US invasions and air attacks have nothing to do with legality and justice. Not to mention Israel. Figure skating is terribly affected by these sanctions. And not just women or pairs, even men are becoming depleted. Yes, there are still several strong individuals in international field, but even such countries like US or Japan can afford like only one real top skater (Malinin and Kagiyama), others are sometimes good but too often they underperform and the competition is weakening.
