I'm 52, wear minimal makeup. Light color eyeshadow, slightly darker eyeshadow for eyeliner on bottom, and occasional concealer for the random zits that still pop up now and again. I have allergies, iron deficiency, lack of sleep, and hereditary black under eyes. I look awful, sometimes I really look like I'm walking around with two black eyes. My pale skin doesn't help either :) But, I hate how I looked when I try concealer under my eyes, not to mention it accentuates the fine lines there. The concealer just never looks right. Your idea makes sense, fill in with darker then use the color correctors. I'll have to look into that palette you had. Looks like it's a powder rather than a cream? If so, that sounds even better. Thank you for this. Maybe I can look somewhat normal again.

@@rabaile1 Annette, yes give it a try and let me know how It works! It’s great for dark spots. Sometimes I have to adjust the color I’m using and use a more red under toned corrector for the sun spots because even though they appear brown they can have a green under tone to them. But most of the time I use the dark peach color and it works fine. I’m gonna put the link here so you can see a picture of the shade I’m talking about. This morning, I tried ... well, I didn't do it exactly like you said, because I didn't have any bronzer. I THOUGHT about using eye shadow, but I was leery to do it right then, because I had to go to church afterwards - ha! Anyway, I used a yellowish color concealer on the HUGE dark spot on my cheek, and spread it out beyond the edges, you know. But then I put what they call a "highlighter," which is kind of pinkish, like the link you showed, over the top of that, and it REALLY helped camouflage that spot. If I just looked at my face in the mirror, as opposed to beaming right in on the spot, it wasn't obvious at all. Thanks a million! Annette

@@rabaile1 that’s great! Definitely try the eyeshadow when you’re not going anywhere just in case. Lol. I looked around the cosmetic section and I did find some Elf color correctors at Walmart. I’ll show them in a video. There are also some brow crayons in a blonde shade that could work in place of bronzer for darkening the light spots. 🤗

I was using Maybelline Instant Age Rewind "highlighter" and whatever that one is that has kind of a yellow cast to it. I still want to get the R1 pallette that you linked earlier, though. I wanted to ask the same question about seeing the bronzer color, but also seen the shades of the yellow and peach that you used. My bruise blue under eye circles make others look like they don’t have any at all. I’ve never ever found a concealer that helps. Also, being 60, powders tend to collect in the lines under the eyes. Will this work OK? Thank you. I look forward to seeing your answer!

@@pjgirl100 like you, I can not use powders under my eyes. It just accentuates the lines and causes creases. I love these Demi correctors because they are cream and move with the skin, are lightweight and seam to cancel the unwanted tones instead of concealing them. 🤗

I'd like to see a close up of this. For those of us who use makeup, but are not MUA's, putting a corrector and nothing else on the face would look odd. It may lessen the darkness, but will weirdly enhance the "skin". I'm not sold, but understand the idea.

I am not a makeup artist, and this is how I have been covering my dark circles for years. Even the rudest people I know have never mentioned it looking odd. You need to find the correct shade and formula for your skin. The one I use literally melts into my skim and takes the dark circles away with it. I use a peach toned colour corrector and nothing else. It only comes in one shade. Works amazingly well. Costs $8

@@vcotten I haven’t tried any yet but Maybe I’ll go in search of a few so I can test them out and review them. If your dark circles are mostly a bluish tone, look for something with an orangish tone to cancel the blue. If you are fair skinned then it would be more of a very light peach color. 🤗

@@michelephelps1087 my go to when in a hurry is a tinted moisturizer or BB Cream. It’s a faster alternative to foundation. Also, a cream bronzer is a quick way to add a little color or warm up your coloring with very little product 🤗
