Once again, the argument that the provision refers to the future is so absurd. Ah, is any MP guaranteed a seat in a future parliament for anyone to say it refers to the future? No MP is guaranteed a seat in the next Parliament untill they win an election. So, if the constitution says an MP loses their seat if they leave the party they were a member of at the time they were elected into parliament, it cannot refer to any seat in the future, which they are not guaranteed, than the seat they're currently occupying. Now, as for the argument about the right of representation of their constituents, that is an argument about the adequacy of the constitution and not a pass for the wrongful interpretation of any part of the constitution. Goodness me.
