The translation is a barrier here , i am an iraqi and when we say (محد مثلك) or (ماكو مثلك) which is (no one is like you) or (there is no like you) we mean AND ONLY MEAN (of the people i met) , it’s a human-to-human comparison, when a mother for example says to her child (you are the best) does she mean that he is better even than our prophet ص و اله or all the great personalities or is she just complementing him out of love? Trust me , if i (or any shia for that matter) saw someone in my casual day-to-day life say such thing about imam Ali (PBUH) , they won’t let it pass just like that. Literally no shia says imam Ali is better than his creator (اعوذ بالله، استغفر الله العظيم و اتوب اليها) , not even jokingly. And if you ever encounter someone that does, know that Shia before all other muslims , will accuse him of being dead ignorant and he will be considered crazy and no one will deal with him.
