When I was 16 in Brazil, I was at a protest and MSM (called Globo) came to the protest and chose me. At the time I was gleeful, but the next day when the paper came out my photo was on page 3 with another protestor who they claimed was the leader. They used me to shame the protest somehow, because I had taken my guitar to play protest songs (as we were camped out in front of the governor's house which was almost beachfront in Rio de Janeiro) as there were lots of people walking around and were able to add a few people to the movement. They chose me to talk to because I was the youngest and least knowledgeable, and they made that picture of me with my guitar look as if the other folk 30 y/o and over had nothing else better to do. These corporations just protect those who are in power, no matter the country.

The problem is the polarization. Right or left there is ugly competition that wants to train you to hate the other side. I’m going to heavily disagree with that. Tucker is an opinionated reporter, Fox even calls him that and he shows it heavily. There are moments I’ve been surprised by Tucker when he shows to be reasonably unbiased in a situation, but that happens with everyone involved in the media from time to time. Most of the time when I watch Tucker, he clearly has an agenda he sticks to, which I’ll give him props for loyalty, but I take most of what he says with a huge grain of salt. Also, off topic a bit, have you heard the man laugh?! Jesus Christ, it’s fucking cringey.

Well I was dating a reference librarian who worked at the University during Obamas first campaign debates etc. He watched American politics like sports and I think they are focused on guys like him and Joe who used to host MMA fights should know competitors do things for ratings and to win at any cost and the audience cheers for their favourites.
