Years ago,when Smokey (a TAG) was with us,her house sat on the living room floor. Mom had a cat PITA (you can figure out what that stood for). Pita was an indoor kitty. One day Pita walked around Smokeys house a little too close,with his tail high in the air. Smokey followed him around on her roof top,then leaned over and grabbed a beakfull of tail fur. As Pita beat-feet out of the living room Smokey yelled out to him ' DAMN CAT!....GO!!!!!" I miss that bird so much to this day lol

Love these birds they just repeat what they hear so you know exactly what is said a lot around the house. I'm guessing there is a cat that's always comes into your garden and you try to shoo it and call it a bastard when it comes in your garden so now your bird knows these words. Eric will pick up any word that is said in excitement and unfortunately we had a dog with dementia that used to howl to go outside at 2am and when we let him out he'd howl because he was lost! I'd be standing on the doorstep in the freezing cold, ice everywhere yelling out to a deaf dog, you can imagine what I was saying under my breath! I had no idea that Eric was listening! I'm afraid you are very wrong, the story behind it is as follows: We used to put all Eric's left over food onto a bird feeder and feed the wild parrots and we had a neighbourhood cat that would hide behind the fence and wait until we were back inside and kill the parrots! My brother and his wife looked after a parrot for a friend for about 6 months. They are church-goers, as am I. The bird was not....adverse to using quite....colourful language, at the most inopportune times. Sooooo my brother taught the bird some um...songs; Now, instead of swearing enough to make a sailor blush, the parrot sings, "...Oh, for the wings...the wings of a dove!" ( An old Christian hymn). I heard the parrot sing "...was blind, but now I seeeeeeeee", a little while after they gave him back to his owner. The man wasn't enthusiastically appreciative, but his wife thanked my brother profusely.
