You get a real good feel, how Japan has massive inland tourism. They have all the climates, manhole covers and stamp rallyes, collabs, etc. incentivive people to come to specific places. And all the weird small towns built after whatever European town. And the bidets never wanna let you leave anyway damn

I've seen sand sculptures destroyed in Hawaii by tourists. Even with fences. Of course Japan would have no fences and no risk of it vandalized.

there are also stores in Japan sometimes without in-person payment and without an attendant, in those cases the person touches an iPad screen to confirm the payment while the owner is absent and the product is taken, the money is placed into a box with a slot. There is a camera, but this does not work anywhere else barring maybe Europe, and absolutely not to the same frequency.
