Brit Karl Pilkington has led a sheltered life. Not having done any traveling, he enjoys living within the comforts of what he knows, basically that being what is purely British. As such, his friends, Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant, decide to send Karl to various parts of the world to experience unfamiliar cultures. Stephen believes that travel is a life broadening venture, and hopes that Karl will indeed feel like his life is enriched by these travels. Ricky, however, hopes that Karl will hate every minute of his travels. For Ricky, this experiment is the most expensive gag for his own pleasure that he could have conceived.

Ive only come across Karl Pilkington recently from working security. Id need something to listen to or watch and my KZbin app suggested it through those smart downloads. Ive watched a lot of his stuff so far and have just finished this episode and the one before it. He's an enjoyable all around everyman.

Original sushi is fucking awful. It's litterally rancid fish where they figured out a way to mask the rancid fish taste and smell with a disgusting rancid fermented rice smell. For context, wasabi helped make it easier to go down, it didn't actually preserve it. Also, Japanese breakfast has some real nasty stuff. I've eaten some gross stuff, and I'm not squeamish, but that fermented bean goo. That bean goo is from the 7th rung of hell.
