I buy from retail, Rep and resellers and the best advice I can give with buying Reps is to seek out the best and most trusted sellers. Theres tons of Rep reviewers on IG and KZbin to help point you in the right direction.Its never failed me, the biggest issue I’ve had with buying Reps is every once in awhile the sizing will be off.the materials and quality are great but they’re either too small or too big. Out of around 75-80 Rep purchases maybe 5 of the them didn’t fit right. The long wait time, from the right sellers, is also a myth. On average it takes 7-10 days to get them in hand. plus sellers provide QC pics and sometimes even videos for you to inspect your shoes.if any flaws are found they’ll work with you until you’re satisfied. buy reps, wear reps just don’t sell reps as authentic 🤙🏼

To be completely honest I don't disagree with you saying authenticators are to blame but the bigger problem is Nike, adidas, New Balance etc.. You have to take in consideration that these companies make a limited amount of pairs and especially with exclusives (off white, travis scott etc..) forcing peeps to look over seas to purchase the same shoes or even certain high end GRs like (Reamagined 1s, 3s, 4s etc) peeps taking Ls and looking over seas or purchasing making payments on stockx, goat etc where you don't know what they are getting in the mail. These big companies need to make more pairs period.

You hit it on the head again and got good takes. Resellers opened the market for reps. I use to have the mindset reps messing the game up till scalpers started doing what they do. Its a bigger problem when they buy reps and sell them as if they authentic. If i didnt have the collection i have, i probably would have caved and bought some reps of something i really wanted instead of $500 to them not knowing if its a rep or authentic. The quality is better than the authentics with bad QC. I subbed up to ya because you consistent with good points

Resellers are having to use boxes to check authenticity… once they (China) gets the boxes perfected… game over. No box no buy roles speaks volumes for the reps coming out.

what blew me is that i figured if i buy on goat early or within a week of release my chances of getting a rep pair would be low but now im seeing rep pairs out here before shoes even release. i want nike/jordan brand to do preorders

I'd dispute the credit card charge if I found a pair I'd gotten online was fake. I got a pair from eBay that were marked as new but came with obvious damage to the back. eBay wouldn't give me a refund bc they were marked as "no returns" even though the condition was fucked--so I disputed the charge and got all my money back. I woulda been fine with just 50% back but that wasn't an option at that point. Used that money and copped a used pair of the denim Air Max 90s--can't even tell they're used from the outside, and they were 25% off retail when new pairs were 2x retail a while back.

Got a 990v6 mindful grey off eBay that was $80 below retail; $150 below aftermarket. It went through and passed authentication. The label is wrong, the wording inside the lid of the box has clear ink bleed, and it’s completely missing the “New balance made US footwear” tagline. There’s some slight stitching errors where they didn’t sew down the leather, but overall it feels identical to the 990v6s I got from new balance. The leather and suede are just as smooth and whatever foam they used also feels just as soft and squishy as fuelcell. If I didn’t have 3 other pairs I wouldn’t even have questioned authenticity just would’ve wrote it off as QC issues.

Had a friend who introduced me to reps, dove into the rabbit hole, reps are getting scary close right now, the factory makers paid really good attention to detail like during the release of the Jordan 4 SB reps, they noticed that the toe box is not accurate to the retail, recalled all their batch and switched it up in no time that's how fast they can do it, im actually shocked how they really wanted to make it 1:1.

Please do continue making more vids like this to remind the sneaker community, Im from Asia and most people are still unaware about 1:1 replicas and some folks are trying to take advantage by selling it as legit, I totally agree with you that no reps shall be sold as legit. After sometime these shady sellers got called out, but is threatening the public to pursue legal actions, smh.

It’s hilarious 😂 that most of the reps I grew up with in Philly and NY back in the 90s were better quality than the real ones. I’ve bought a few recently and they are better and I paid $500 less!! I love sneakers and I have alot of real ones but thanks to Mercari and Poshmark and eBay that you can find what you want without getting ripped off from the resellers. I only hit them up for shoes way under retail

true but people dont play ball in their expensive "hype" shoes anyway, which is what most reps are being based on. and even if they get destroyed after a couple months, its still cheaper to buy another pair of $50 reps or even cheaper.
