I'm so glad that Josh O'Connor is portraying Prince Charles so truthfully. Years ago my mother, as a mature secretary, used to work for Prince Charles at King George's Jubilee Trust (the first Royal Trust). He was then a young man just out of the Navy and at that time, if not conventionally handsome, definitely very attractive. She found him likeable, always enthusiastic about the work they were doing for young people and kind and courteous to her. But she was shocked that at their formal office meetings the curtains were always drawn and the lights put on because he was under constant threat of being shot at. His is a very strange life and he has been subjected to far too much unjustified criticism. I'm very glad he has lived through it and now has a happier life. Josh has captured his instinctive kindness and vulnerability, as well as his appearance, just right and for me he is the star of the series.

I read some of the other comments first, just to see if I was the only person thinking the interviewer and Erin bear a resemblance to one another (& I was not)...I was actually watching a different interview with Olivia Coleman and the chap who played the Duke (with same interviewer) and thought, "doesn't she look a bit like the girl who plays Anne?" was glad to find an interview with them together to see directly, and honestly facially, they could be sisters! how fun... what helps the "intrigue" is that one never sees them side by side, only cuts back and forth, not unlike film technique used when playing twins or alter ego characters...hmmmm....😉 but seriously, these two are fabulous in the show!!

The actors covered it in an interview when asked about the wedding of Charles and Diana: there were a lot of things that had other royals at the center, but they didn't have a place in the show because the events that do get covered are the ones that have direct impact for the Queen (as the show is called The Crown, it's implied that She is the main cog that moves it all so unless it touches her, directly or indirectly, it doesn't get covered). That's why the storylines for many of the other characters get mostly glossed over. It would be dope if there was another series, or a movie or whatever, that did cover certain things. I do believe Anne's life alone has a lot of material to make something worthy of watching.
