I spent many years exploring, camping/hiking throughout the Great Southwest. Lots of little 'Rules/Tricks' I'd learned, growing up, about the usual nasties (Snakes, scorpions and spiders, gila monsters etc..) That was absolutely true about NOT securing your tent/tepee, OR CHECKING YOUR BEDDING before crawling into it (And pausing when you woke up, to ensure nothing HAD arrived before you start moving around.) Nature doesn't care, and if you're out alone, you're a casualty looking for a place to happen. Unless you're smarter, or luckier than Nature's plan? I loved that scene, but especially love/respect Tater for knowing to NOT freak out/move, once that rattler had parked on her chest. Snake bites to horses/cattle are not usually fatal to the equine/bovine, though the wound can get very ugly. It's the feral mammals that usually die, because while they're lame/injured, they can't escape the predators that normally hunt them. This Series makes me think it's our modern-day equivalent to 'Lonesome Dove' and I love the hell out of it! :-)

😂😂 y r Americans so scared of rattle snakes? They literally rattle ffs it's really not that hard to avoid them. Try going to live in australia where the snakes r silent and about 15-20x as venomous
