I have always thought that Carter reminded Beth of young Rip was Her attraction to Carter, the resemblance is there, but could it be Carter is the same age that her child would have been?

I wish Rip saved Carter and got injured instead. Would have been a better story and made more sense. We would have all been panicking about the enforcer being tied up in a hospital while everything else is going down. Then Rip could have come in and saved the day against doctors orders because he would risk it all for the ranch and his family. It also would have built his bond with Carter more and gave Beth something to ground her a little better. I feel they would have all come closer together as a unit if something like that affected them directly. Colby was just random given he isn’t a prominent character. Plus we would not have seen the injury coming if it were Rip 😂 As you said in the start, “one of them is going to die” as soon as they said they loved each other. Too predictable.
