If someone had told me a year ago Id be regularly interested in the goings-on of a Scottish guy trimming poo-covered cows feet... A Canadian guy detailing filthy cars and trucks in Saskatchewan... A group of surfers running after seals on a beach in Namibia to cut the fishing debris from off their necks... One American guy opening up and sampling military food rations from World War Two and not ever getting sick, and another who bought a lobster from a grocery store and made it into a pet… Or a Polish guy cleaning the worlds dirtiest rugs... I would never have believed it…

There’s no fans like cow fans….except maybe SHEEP fans! I was able to use some of your wisdom in hoof trimming this week when my Ram went lame. I couldn’t figure it out at first but it was very overgrown so I trimmed it back and found outer hoof curled around to the midline and poking between his toes. He was grateful that I’m not a professional hoof trimmer but I watch one on KZbin! I love the country! I’ve lived all around the world and this is the first time living rural. Now I know my neighbors, we help each other, we help each other and share what we have. The cities can go up in flames but our community will be fine because we help each other and know who is doing and needing what.

Mums are supposed to worry! It's our job 😄 My eldest is 31, a scientist, married, and one of the most sensible and kindest people I've ever met in my life (I'd say that if he wasn't mine, honestly. My late dad absolutely loved him to bits. He loved all his grandkids but they had a particularly special friendship which meant everything to me and Dad). I accidentally introduced him to bikes via racing; I'm a total petrolhead and he initially didn't know what I saw in it, but eventually he joined me watching it. So when he was old enough, I didn't feel like I could say "no" to him getting a bike. We're out in the countryside, no public bus route to the school, and the school bus for his final two years (when they could leave but if they want to go to uni, they need the qualifications from this time) was eye-wateringly expensive, especially as his next sister was in the year below, so I'd have 2 to pay for one year (though I ended up paying for her to learn to drive in my car instead! Just as well because she's got her own brood now!) Needless to say, by the time he'd gone to uni with his bigger bike after he passed his test, I had already started turning grey! It didn't help that #3 and #4 got mopeds... At least I don't look out of place as a grey-haired grandma! I'm glad I spotted my own flag in the shed - twice I think - so I don't need to send him one 😉😄🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 Hope you're doing well. It's lovely reading the comments from all over the world. It's such a friendly community of viewers that it's almost like the old "lists" I used to be on in the early days of the internet. We all have one great thing in common, and it seems many others too!

What a great video for your first day back from holiday! I hope you got the rest you deserved. I also would like to know when you're gonna go round up some lambs with Cammy, from The Sheep Game?! Cammy did great on those cow hooves, but I think it's time for the Hoof GP to get down with some giant Q-Tips! 😂

I cannot describe how much I love your drone footage. My ancestors, (Glendinnings) lived near you about two hundred year twenty years ago or so: Times must have been hard then (the clearances second or third wave or so). Some moved to upstate NY, USA where they farmed. By the late 1800’s, at least one of my direct ancestors moved nearby to the Norwalk, Connecticut area, served in the US Union Army, and then owned a pharmacy. (My grandfather studied chemistry in university). He worked as a chemist during WWI. The spelling of our name changed to Glendening. We remain a family that values each other, hard work, and education. Love your channel! Ty for how much you’ve helped me during Covid.

I've said it before, and I'm going to say it again: the way you deal with things going wrong is so admirable. You express frustration but you don't blow up-and I'm reasonably certain that that's not just because you can edit out the blow ups. So thank you for that-you set an exceptional example.

Fantastic. You sir, I have huge respect for. Incredible at your job, Incredible personality and great at presenting! A beautiful family with a beautiful home. And a great father! What I would say an all round salt of the earth type. Like many other people have said, I don't know anything about cow's or anything about your work. But you make your videos very interesting, especially presenting. One of the greatest things I love to see is someone like yourself and what you've achieved! Well done my friend. Well done!

I greatly appreciate your care for the livestock. I grew up on a farm and we took good care of ours, but recently I have learned that a lot of the people around me don't care about theirs! It disheartening a little that people would care as little as they do about their animals.

Just wondering what do you do in terms of trimming/caring for the hooves of younger cows that aren't fully grown yet? Like say if a young calf needed looking at?

He has some videos where he's trimmed young calves that were too small to fit in the crush. It sounds like they usually don't need trimming when they're young, unless they have some weird foot problem.

There are a few hoof trimmers I watch who are like you..... very careful NOT to damage the corium or cut into flesh. However, I am shocked at the amount of trimmers on KZbin who honestly rip the sh*t out of cows hooves (blood everywhere). Thank you thank you thank you for taking such care. Xoxo

Thank you for sharing what you do! I love watching your channel because it reminds my of following and "helping" my Grandpa take care of his cows and horses. He trimmed and examined every hoof 1 x a month every Saturday morning! He was the son of a blacksmith, and a small dairy farmer his whole life. The foot health of his cows and horses were top priority! They helped him "work" his small farm and he felt the need to make them as happy as possible! He sold most of his herd in the late 60s but kept a couple of cows and horses until the early 80s. I loved the animals as much as he did! And followed him as often as possible! ❤
