When analyzing Odozier’s rock opera lyrics, you kinda forgot that the main character of Hylics 3 might be his daughter. With that in mind, the song might be her theme and Odozier is speaking to her.

At this point, Hylics 3 is pretty much the definition of a glow-up. I already liked the enemy designs in the first game, but seeing them recreated like this is magical.

I don't think its a direct remake of Hylics 1 because of the amount of new stuff we've seen already. It definitely seems like a kind of re-imagining of that game though, with the amount of returning stuff.

Looking at the enemys for h3, my main theory for why there are so many Wayne-related enemys is Wayne's collects kinda hive-mind type thing, beginning to embrace the formlessness and chaos of the hylics world and have started to mutate or be experimented on (one enemy from h2 was a wayne larvae who has only sustained itself on poolwine) so maybe someone has been doing the same thing to wayne larvae, but with different items (stem cell,dubios berries, etc)

That theory about everytime you die you come back as another wayne doesn't actually make sense because there's only one Somsnosa, one Pongorma and (up to now) only one Dedusmuln (Though we know it's a species based on the fact that Smuldunde is another character from that species)

It's very possible that Wayne (the one we play as in H2) could be the final antagonist of this next game. It'd be really cool to see him use the Gestures from Hylics 2 against us here.

I was kinda speaking out of habit in the video, because I used to mention the old Hylics Discord that closed quite a bit. The Discord I was talking about in this video is technically a server for a game called Flipside that Chuck Salamone is composing for, which happens to have a Hylics channel. I don't think invites for that server are public anymore. I believe there is another Hylics fan Discord called HylemXylem, although I haven't joined that one yet. Sorry for any confusion caused.

I'm pretty sure it's not going to be a remake, at least not in the traditional sense. It's pretty clear it shares a lot of elements / characters with Hylics 1, but we seemingly have a new protagonist here (as shown in Mason's tweets). The new Absent Moon album also seemingly takes place (at least partially) after Hylics 2, and has quite a few teases at what may be coming next in the lyrics. This game could very much 'act' as a Hylics 1 remake, while still progressing the story and characters into the future.

Idk why but I have a theory after seeing all the old designs being stop motion and new designs being 3D that we are actually seeing two different games being worked on. Or that this is a remake in the FF7 sense, like a retelling and rework of the original Hylics.
