People who care about this at all need to get a life, im not even trying to be rude. If they were saying more yall would still complain. I keep seeing angry ppl claiming 6 years is waaay too long for a aaa title, when its really not; think about how many games that come out that quickly or quicker are riddled with bugs or general issues. How is this unreleased game important enough to you that you are genuinely upset about it? You reeeeaaaallly need to get your priorities straight if your emotions are influenced nearly at all by something so completely distanced from you and outside your control. Play something else

A major game distributor was planning on this game coming out sometime 2023. We are 9 months past that deadline. We don't know whose fault that was. But it sure doesn't scream great things about development and its organization whatsoever. I do believe the development was not doing great, but they have the support to not care about it that much. But let's not bs people. I think by now we understand fairly well that Team Cherry has incredible skills and glaring flaws, and it's not wrong to praise them for the former and make them accountable for the latter. At the end of the day, the only thing they are hurting is their community and their success. Silksong is not doing better bc of their management regarding communications.

the fact that it took two years to make a game like hollow knight and just how good it turned out, i can’t even imagine how good silksong is gonna be. if they release it now, next year or in the next five years, i just know it’s something i’m going to fall in love with just based on how much effort team cherry as a whole puts into their games.

i cant see anything here being used in hylics other than the water shader but since its a geometry node it would need to be renderd out and working like a sprite and not realtime... Most of this just seems to be him making art for fun. he is an artist after all. also 13:45 these were most likely not for textures in the game. but for testing the glazes he put on the sculpture.. cause they tend to look alot diffrent befor kindeld compared to after... so its a good way of having a refrence. the reason for the texture on them is to see how it looks on raised edges and creavases

Maybe, after the whole "Unity Game Engine debacle" caused them to reevaluate the whole situation? Maybe they considered or are working on moving the game into another game engine in order to prevent being financially royally f**ked by Unity later on down the line? Just food for thought.

A few predictions I have based on these: 1. I think the shadow guys's socks being removed is a reference to the phrase "Knock your socks off" Maybe at one point, a character is going to say something like "This performance will knock your socks off!" 2. This is a little more out there, but based on what we have, I think chapter 4 will have the Knight create a dark world in the church. There's what looks like the fruit juice cup as a darker, and the fact that chapter 4 will be "more standard" than chapter 3. The uniqueness of chapter 3 will likely be due to the fact that a new person is creating the dark fountain (Assuming Kris isn't the knight) Which would imply that a dark world more similar to chapter 1 and 2 would also have the same creator.

If this game takes too much longer I can absolutely see team cherry going out of business (like what happened with south park stick of truth) and then if we're lucky this game will be picked up by another team capable of actually finishing it or it'll probably just drop off the face of the earth stuck in development hell either way I lost any hype I had for this game after completing P5 with the flower in hollow knight years ago

It honestly would've been better if they didn't announce the game so early if it was going to take this long to complete. They could've announced it maybe 6-8 months before they released it. But instead years and years of mostly silence... bleh. Love hollow knight, but would love if Team Cherry communicated more.

Being Hollow Knight and Deltarune fan at the same time is horrible. You need to wait for two fantastic games at the same time. The worst thing that now could happen is if both games have a similar release date.
