So you use pro 1 because you get more stretch I use krowtan but I'm looking for another way. With krowtan there's a lot of shrinkage and I only do a couple deer heads a year use to do more but I was having problems with people paying not because of the work everyone seemed to like my work it was that they didn't want to pay me so I just do my own and a few friends also I don't have a fleshing wheel so can't do a whole lot of thinning on the hide.

Amy I hate to bother you this morning. But because of you and Brian hendrix I had changed over to McKenzie tanning system. . I did a trial run and tanned a deer flat. And it turned out like it was supposed to.. now my question is. I'm doing a full body deer mount and what I did to make it easier for me. I ruff fleshed. Salted 24 hrs washed and cleaned. Then completely fresh down ready to mount. Then I put it in the tanning solution. Ph 1.5 kept stirred 2 a day and ph check. How long can I leave this hide in the solution solution

Can you do your process on pickle/tan on deer hide. ? Wet tan

Before putting the tanning oil on it.. and one more thing. My solution is still clean and clear. Can I use again and if so. Is there anything I need to add. Like extra salt. Ph is still 1.5
