And looking back Aoyama tried to self sabotage his own progress so many times. He attempted to fail the class so he couldn't go on the camping trip, he tried to fail the licensing exam. He ate lunch every day by himself to not get any more information on his classmates than needed. He tried in his own ways maybe even unknown to himself to distance himself from everyone.

They didn't show much of him but yes. Aoyama's whole branding is Twinkling. It's given he always smiles. But he almost didn't smile with everythings going on. And if you go back from the start, you'll notice the shots that shows he always looking at the audience lol. Like breaking the third wall by just looking at where the "camera" is at. And yeah, it's heartbreaking that he actually wanted to ask Midoriya for help back then. But it's very vague that Deku didn't picked up that call of help. Also he gave a vague hint also at the USJ arc. He asked his classmates to ask him where he was. And when they ask him, he answered "It's a secret". Why would he say it's a secret? Unless he's actually hiding something.

I loved Bakugou going "that's it, Deku" at scene when Deku held out his hand to Aoyama. He understands now that Deku reaching out his hand to him when they were kids wasn't him looking down on him but rather him lending help. That was a nice throwback to his growth and also Bakugou's emotional maturity to know Aoyama needs help even though what he did led to his own kidnapping.

Horikoshi the author of MHA does this thing where volumes of the manga will have a character drawn on the spine. Volume 10 was the book depicting Bakugou being kidnapped and tied up by the league of villains back in Kamino. And who was on the spine? Aoyama. It showed Aoyama with an out-of-character guilty expression on his face that people found strange. The volume 10 cover itself was an art of Bakugou in the clutches of Shigaraki. But no one could really use it as concrete evidence because Horikoshi likes putting "unrelated" art of random characters on the spine, back cover, and inside covers. He also made it so those who did notice the Aoyama on the spine could make an assumption that it was just a reference to his big heroic moment trying to save Bakugou and Tokoyami. It was a very genius play on Horikoshi's part.

Bro everybody's voice acting was so raw this episode holy shit!!! They really sold the heartbreak!!! You had a great memory with all those little Aoyama details from previous seasons!!! Horikoshi really hid a lot of little easter eggs to go back and find once you have context. Another recontextualized Aoyama moment for you! This blew my mind when I realized it Remember during his final exam with Uraraka how Aoyama randomly asked her about her feelings for Deku? He surprised her so much that she let go and got caught in Thirteen's black hole. Later, Aizawa chided Aoyama and Uraraka for nearly failing the practical exam. And remember, the kids were under the impression that those who failed wouldn't go to the training camp. Was Aoyama trying to purposely throw the exam so he couldn't reveal the camp's location to AFO? Similarly, is this why Aoyama was so willing to sacrifice his provisional license for his classmates -- so he would be less likely to be out on the field where he could betray them? This poor kid just wanted to fit in and now he's being made to hurt all the people he cares about. His self-sabotaging behavior makes such perfect sense it's kinda heartbreaking

Im honestly impressed in bakugos growth because i feel like s1 him would've been pisssed. Technically yuga got bakugo kidnapped, made to look weak, and caused the end of all might something that bakugo blamed himself for so much that he actually cried because of it. And the saddst part about dealing with all for one is that he's was said to be the type to give people quirks as a act of "kindness" only to show his true colors after. Thinking about it that's the worst thing he could do with his power he essentially takes advantage of people like s1 deku and promises them their dreams only to basically turn them into a criminal for his own means. Hes like Mr beast if he was the most vile man in existence.

Oh for sure! And I like that little detail when he said "that's it, Deku" when Deku was extending his hand out to Aoyama. It shows not only that Bakugou acknowledges Deku reaching his hand out to him when they were kids was not malicious but rather a gesture to save someone, but also shows his emotional maturity to recognize that Aoyama needs help even though Aoyama's actions led to his kidnapping and should've made him angry.

Now that i think about it AFO really plan ahead of time. To be fair considering how midoriya was treat for being quirkless I can see why Aoyama was scared to be “different” and while it is the parent’s fault for accepting a quirk from AFO and getting themselves in this situation I also can’t really fault them at all considering they just wanted their child to be happy plus AFO was still a figure hidden in the shadows that no one knew about since this would be way before him and all might fought the first time and even after that all might had that fight hidden away from the public

I don't think that's going to happen. The most recent chapter 423 is the first chapter of a new volume. That means Horikoshi needs to write at least 11 more chapters to end the volume. Also Horikoshi said in the past that there's a good chance MHA would go into 2025 and that he wants to write a long post-war arc.

I feel really disappointed! I thought it would be hagakurae since she didn’t have much presence or closeness to the class. And we saw ayoyama help save tokoyami in the camp, so I counted him out. I don’t feel he’s gonna be redeemed because all those tragedies happened because of him. It’s really sad because his parents made the mistake and got him involved

Agreed, Hagakure being the mole would be such a lazy move. Take the happy bubbly invisible girl who has had zero development and make her a crazy two-faced girl at the last second and rationalize how she was able to do anything away with "oh she was invisible" is not interesting. Aoyama is better since he has some development / history with Deku, there's been actual hints of him being sus since season 1, and the whole thing with him being quirkless has been alluded to already.
