Love Rio de Janeiro’s vibe in these upper class beach neighborhoods. The laid-back and bohemian sentiment Rio gives has a sharp contrast to the more rushed life in São Paulo full of business people in suits. Nice that you got to visit both because even though they’re the two biggest cities, they’re very different. You compared São Paulo a lot with NYC in these videos, but Rio is really incomparable. Sitting in the outside area of store, having an Açaí and just watching people pass around the neighborhood is my favorite thing ever.

Amigo, conte pra mim: how did you do 3 years ? As an American (the USA kind), I can only get tourist visas where a person has to renew a 3 month visa with the federal police to get a 6 month chunk, but then (if we wanna be legal) we’ve got to leave the country and come back some other time… I love Brazil soooo much, I would like to make a life there and only go back to the USA to visit family and earn money… even when I was teaching in the federal district and Plano Piloto, even government people were stumped about the question of how do you get a proper work visa-
@kronop88842 жыл бұрын
@@miahconnell23 I was lucky enough to be able to get a work visa through my company. Just like in most countries you need local sponsor to be able to get a work visa/residence permit, it also helps a lot if you bring skills that is hard to find locally in Brazil. So we started with a 2 year visa and extended this for one additional year. The other options are family reunion or investor visa unless you are eligible for a retirement visa, that’s my understanding of the Visa situation anyway.

Tommy: Brazil was more advanced than the United States when I visited in 1978. I remember getting my boarding pass from a ticket machine back then, whereas in the US in 1981, they were still handwriting boarding passes. Additionally, in Brazil, there was a unique urban layout with overpasses needed to cross streets every few blocks. The iconic yellow Volkswagen Beetle taxis added to the charm of the cityscape. From a high-rise building, observing the bustling traffic with these yellow taxis felt like watching a fast-paced Pac-Man game. If you were looking for an unforgettable bachelor party, Brazil was the place to go. However, it's important to note that the situation might have changed over the years. Your video shows that some places have deteriorated while others have evolved. Another noteworthy aspect I'd like to mention is my experience confirming my flight back home. At that time, the entire six-story office building was dedicated just to travel agencies. In São Paulo, the airport was still under construction, and it was touted to be a one-of-a-kind facility in the world-a supersonic airport designed to enable flights to any part of the globe. What struck me was the sight of a queue at the airport, with over nine planes lined up for takeoff, marking a remarkable moment. The metro is nicer now, I can see. Then was a little darker, I want to think. Your videos are cool, and you show many places and don't add fluff like most bloggers.

actually it's clean and safe-looking because the system here is tiny compared to mta's, and it catters only for a small portion of the whole city: there are only 3 lines, about 50 stations (the majority not in working class neighborhoods) And it's absurdly priced to ride: R$6,50!! while sao paulo that actually has NYC level transit it's r$4,40.
