“You’ve got the break him down so he can see how much he needs you” This is actually some great foreshadowing when you look into it. Tails broke Amy down. He used her love for Sonic to his advantage, giving her advice he knew wouldn’t work, as well as giving them the same advice. He broke down Amy’s self-confidence. He broke her down, and made her more dependent on him because who else could she go to for advice other than Sonic’s best friend? This is just a theory/HC, so take this with a grain of salt

The way Tails just keeps emotionally manipulating Amy and exploits her devotion and daresay obsession with Sonic into doing actions that he knows won't work is just brilliant. Constantly whittling her already low self-esteem down to the point to where Amy will do *anything* to gain Sonic's affection just shows how much of a Machiavellian, gaslighting genius Tails really is. Forget Robotnik ever being a threat (like he was in the old Archie comics and the SatAM TV series), Tails is the true villain here. I'm almost inclined to call him a psychopath.

@@ephiuca Yeah. But even stuff like Mephiles, who's basically the Sonic world equivalent to the devil and killed Sonic, doesn't feel as evil. Mainly because there is no point at all where we trust Mephiles, we know from the second we see him, "Oh, yep, this guy's the villain, you see the demon eyes and no mouth? Good guys don't usually have those". But Tails is someone we can usually trust. He's our player two, the little brother or sister that played games with us as kids. He's the kid that saved Station Square and is always helping us. If there is a single character in the entire franchise that we can trust, it should be Tails. So, like Amy, we buy into his friendly facade at first, and once we realize just how devious he really is, it almost feels like a betrayal to us personally. At least, that's my thoughts on the psychological reason why Tails in this seems so much worse than any demon or madman Sonic has faced yet.

One thing I love about this animation is that whenever Tails says "What are friends for" the music matches with the ominous feeling. Even with the first time, you can hear at 2:40 the keys that would normally be for the audience to know that he's thinking about something evil, it is masked by the lighter sounds that doesn't even make us think twice about what he said. The attention to detail THIS DEEP is honestly terrifying. Yeah I'm rewatching it at an unhealthy amount, so what?

I don’t know if anyone commented on this before, but I think there’s more clever foreshadowing here than we think. I believe SH Tails specifically chose this universe cause this universe’s Tails was already working on the crystals needed to power the teleporter. You can see he already had blueprints of it when SH Tails jumped in. He might’ve also already had the necessary materials needed. Then, you see those same crystals he’s been working on in this episode; teleport him and Amy in episode 3. SH Tails already had the material needed to get to this universe, but maybe he was running out. I still have a boat load of questions but we’ll find out soon!

amy has never been a “creepy stalker” she just got hated on through the years because that’s how overly feminine characters used to be treated. She follows sonic around just as much as tails or even knuckles does because she is a vital part of the team and wants to help in any way she can. Amy is awesome.

The way Tails acts from 6:01 to 7:00, it’s like Tails wanted to do this surgery to Amy for a long time, but waited for the right time to do it. Tails must have knew that the tips he gave to Amy wouldn’t work on Sonic, so that when Amy is desperate enough, Tails would then give her the choice of the surgery, without her knowing that he wanted to do it on her.

It's everything I've imagined Amy would act since '93. Naive and totally obsessed with Sonic, but not towards the creepy extent. What got creepier was Tails. Who knew that two-tailed fox could get so diabolic. He puts Robotnik's 300 IQ to shame! And also having Eilemonty as the VA of both Amy AND Tails was golden. I was like, "I know that voice!" She nailed their characteristics spot on.

Tails arrive, the explosion explains why the original tails died with a burned face and when tails said at 1:30 “you could say I’m my own worst enemy”, brilliant, this is perfection at its finest Extra: (I’m not sure if this was intentional but) when tails says at 3:29 “there’s more than one way to skin a cat” showing big the cat it remind me that S.H.
