Some of us, all of us fall short of the glory of God and we use chemicals to numb our pain, or we try. It often enough doesn't work. We still need to seek relief, because our minds are designed to keep seeking chemical payments. People who don't understand how our minds work, judge us, and we are so often oustrisized unmercifully. I understand addiction from a 360 degree angle, I have been an addict since 18, and I am a drug counselor and I have been sober for a significant amount of time. I been all the way around. When we were young growing up with no daddy in our lives, we decided to fill the space with marijuana, alcohol and all the world has to offer. But !! There came a day I could go no further. At the end of my dead end street I saw hell the lake of fire waiting for my sin darkened soul. BUT!! Praise God!!🙌🏻🙌🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 There was Jesus!!! …….About two years later my brother realized the change and he saw that Jesus was there for him too.😭 So glory to God!! We loved Jesus and served him in our sweet brother/sister relationship. I thank Jesus every day for rescuing me and my brother from our paths of destruction. He worked through the prayers of our mother who got rescued by our gracious Lord late in life. Thank God she was determined and dedicated to pray and storm the gates of hell until We saw that There Was Jesus.. Friends,,, Turn to Jesus,,pray for your family and friends. The longer that I live the more I understand that whatever storms we go through, when we come out the other side still here, those storms and trials are strengthening us and refining us. We didn't give up, we didn't give in, we weren't destroyed because God was always there, even when He seemed so far away perhaps at the time. Look back on those darkest times in your life and realize that you're still here and you've become stronger and more prepared to deal with whatever happens to you in life than you ever were before. As long as you never gave up on God and maintained even the slightest mustard seed of faith or glimmer of hope and wanting to turn to Him than He never left you. He kept you going, He strengthened you and even though I am by NO MEANS who I should be or want to be, in His eyes or mine, I can honestly say that things were being done and I was being shaped in ways I couldn't comprehend then and it was all God.

Me and the Lord was passing invitations at the east end of Cowan. We were going thru a empty lot at the east end of the city. I seen the heads of some black dogs watching me a cross the street. Here they came hair standing up growling. I looked around me and no time to reach a safe place. I said Jesus I need your help. 14 dogs circled me, and he turned them into statutes. I couldend even see them able to breath. I turned back around to see there was enough room to walk between only two dogs in the path I had been heading. There was Jesus. Ask amen

We are in troubled times and it's important the powerful messages in Zach's songs to not only be enjoyed but taken seriously, JESUS is our Savior and I feel we all should be in God's words as much as possible, walking the walk. However you feel you can do this, but for me his songs have reached my soul as deep if not deeper than sermons I've heard all my life. I wouldn't be here if not for one of his songs, I wanted to take my life when I heard Fear Is A Liar on the radio, in my darkest moment I was changed and those thoughts were gone as God spoke to me through Zach's song.
