I never cared for the teams Deion played for so I wasn’t a fan. This is dope to hear the man and his thoughts off the field. I support what he is trying to do. This is admirable. I wish him nothing but success.

When it comes to football, there's a lot of history coming through that SWAC. Deion knows where he's at. He also understands where he can help take it. I've been seeing his vison of bringing in elite football players for years. You take nothing from the ACCs and SECs. You're just pulling from a pool of untapped resources. As my history professor at Southern University use to always tell me, "There's always plenty of room at the top."

Deion also sees the bigger picture in sports. He understands the program in which he played versus the program he currently coaches. He understands state of the art facilities versus 20 year old equipment. He understands the importance of campus beautification versus riding in to something old and gloomy. He understands operating in a conference which fosters multibillion deals versus a conference which fosters none. Don't get it twisted, I'm pretty sure Jackson State has some alumni which have the ability to extend sizable charitable gifts to the football program. Deion is just use to dealing with shit on a whole other level some just don't understand. But one thing Deion also understands for sure, in a philosophical setting, his epiphany, if you will, opened his eyes to what's called doing it for The Greater Good.

IAM A MAN WHO GREW UP WITH A FATHER... BUT, MY COACHES WERE LIKE A FATHER TO ME ALSO... AND MANY OF MY TEAM MATES THOSE COACHES WERE LIKE A 1ST FATHER THAT THEY NEVER knew.. one coach have even said coaching is like a Ministry to him and I would agree... SO, IAM SO EXCITED FOR THE COMMUNITY AROUND JACKSON, MISSISSIPPI... read the book of Deuteronomy 7:6 read the book of Deuteronomy 14:2...

When people talk bout God it's such an ego thing. Why do u think u r that important for God to take such an interest in ur life while on the other side there are people who quite obviously don't get any help from God. How do people not see that their idea of God is a very selfish & self centred idea. We r all insignificant in a universe so large we can't get our heads round it. Why on earth did got create an infinite universe just to put us on a tiny rock in a corner & we still think we are important. Not only important - but thinking God takes an active role in all our lives. Ego man. We are not that important indivually or collectively. We are a pure accident of creation. But then Christians are so egotistical they wanna call ego a sin while having the biggest ego of all!
