The most frustrating thing is that The Chameleon *couldve* worked as a dark reflection of Po. She could’ve been an obsessive fan like him, but to a toxic degree where she just expects these masters to treat her as an equal with no effort put in just so she can play out her fantasies, and turn to sorcery when that idea inevitably flops. Every villain has some link to Po, whether that be a direct tie (such as Tai Lung and him with the status of Dragon Warrior, Shen directly genociding his people, and Kai basically being an Oogway who failed to end his power trip), and it’s a damn shame they didn’t do anything with Chameleon to include this link

I believe co-director Stephanie Stine actually talked about the behind the scenes of King Fu Panda 4, and that she was constantly belittled for having ideas that fans would clearly eat up because the writers thought themselves smarter than her (she put it in a much much nicer way). MAN your KFP4 rewrite is so much more compelling. Tai Lung coming to respect Po, redeem himself, and make up with Shifu alone is super interesting, but there's even more you could do with it! I mean, we never get to see if Tigress and Tai Lung have any opinions on one another being technically siblings. It would be really fun to examine that relationship a little once Tai Lung manages to reconnect with Shifu (and maybe we could finally address Shifu not being the greatest dad to Tigress, while we're at it. Tai Lung was clearly always his golden child, and now that he's back and Tigress never really got to talk things out with her dad, that probably stirs up some unpleasant feelings.) ALSO consider!! There could be a twist where it turns out redeemed!Tai Lung is the perfect candidate for Po's successor, thus kinda bringing him back around. He was Dragon Warrior material all along, he just had to better himself as a person, or something like that. I don't know if it would work exactly, but it'd sure be a hell of a lot more interesting than what we got.

@therealchoopo @bananasinfrench Now that you’ve mentioned it, I actually would like to see Tai Lung and Tigress explore the fact that they’re technically related. In addition to that, I would like to see normal Cats(be they House Cats(you know, the fluffy ones) or just normal street Cats or really any type of Cat) and how they would be treated by big Cats like Tai Lung and Tigress. Like, will they be made fun of or offended or insulted or will they be belittled or will they simply be treated as normal. Also, your idea of Tigress’s relationship with Shifu truly be addressed and repaired is great. Something I also do think needs addressing is the fact that seeing how their world looks a lot like ours(like very close to ours), the animals should’ve been more like the animals of Zootopia, as in more human/humanoid as well as proportionally human/humanoid and less animalistic/quadrupedal. So, like Tigress’ design will still largely be the same, but with a slightly more feminine figure in a tomboyish sense. We can maybe give her a sister, who’ll be more traditionally feminine. Tai Lung’s design will also still largely be the same, but with a more (proportionally) human/humanoid figure.

@@bananasinfrench I would ordinarily agree, but given that it doesn't even fully commit to them being true quadrupeds and have them fight in quadrupedal motion and design the world around that, much like how Cars didn't design the world around vehicles, I'd say that they should've stuck to having them be purely humanoid. Like, why didn't they simply design the world around them being quadrupeds where most of them carry stuff with their mouths, buildings and architecture are designed for quadrupedal animals, they eat out of bowls or food from the ground, and are just purely quadrupedal. There's a disconnect there, and worse, they didn't even fully commit to that. It's as though they wanted to have their cake and eat it too. So, either commit to them being quadrupeds and animalistic and design the world around that and base their habits and movements and attitudes off that or simply have them be more human/humanoid.

Hello, this is me after watching the entirety of Dragon Knight. Veruca gets stabbed, has a blanket put over her corpse in that same episode, and gets her soul trapped in the ancient sword and comes back in the finale by the final boss. This show is every bit as ridiculous and crazy as OP said it was, but I actually enjoyed it more as it went on. And she specifically chooses to take it from people in the spirit realm, and the 3 main ones were ones that lost. so why wouldn't she want to steal the kung fu of someone who is alive, and known to be win their fights? It would be easier than trying to get this one specific magic staff, from this master of kung fu, inner peace, and chi, who has a good track record of beating people like her, like she couldve used her shape-shifting to catch them off guard and steal their kung fu, and since she's a shape shifter, she would be hard to track down. And worse of all imo, is she isn't just a shape-shifter, she's a sorceress, but she only uses that magic to change appearance, like is that all it does in the kfp universe? She couldn't learn more offensive or defensive magic? The movie is dumb enough already, but there's so much to say about how bad the villain is.
