That part really got to me, and I am NOT a musician. It was just glaringly obvious. The FIRST BEAT of their impromptu jam session is played on a hi-hat. There’s no metal remotely near him, yet there would be some mugs and pots in the tavern. Theory: In "The Adventures of Panda Warrior", Patrick is actually dead. He fell off a cliff and died, that's when the "amulet activated". His brain is flooding him with endorphins while he's going, that's what his entire experience in Merryland is.
