I was raised by my mom and my step mom. Both my Dads “Bio and Step”, were in their own way unavailable. I was always a mamas boy, and never did my step mom hold the title of “MOM” in any way. She was always know as her first name, and respected me in the fact I only had one mom. ALTHOUGH my step mom had a huge impact and hand in my own upbringing, as well as made sure my mother gave the ok in what she wanted me to learn. I love you both for the man I am today!!!

I actually like these old clips because instead of seeing 5 parts of one girl chat, these are seamless. You get to see how they transition from topic to topic, you can hear what everyone said in one clip instead of waiting a few minutes or hours for the second part of what one of them said. Especially if you can't watch the show live (cause of work or school, etc) this is a nice perspective!

To explain a little bit more power poses are supposed to give you more confidence before going into a job interview or anything like that. I'm in an organization called S.T.E.P.S that stands for striving toward empowering personal success, it's an all girl group that deals with lots of issues such as body positivity self-esteem ect. During one of our summer sessions we talked about power poses and how many famous celebritys do then to instill more confidence in them. Now I'm not saying to go full on superwoman in a job interview but if you're a shy person just do a few power poses in the mirror by yourself and you'll start to see the difference.

My step son calls me mom, When his Bio-Mon is around and we both look up he will tell me I was talking to my mom, or if he was talking to me he will tell his mom I was talking to my other mom. I have been in his life since he was 2. Took care of him / taught him just as I would my oldest daughter. He has lived with me & his father since he was he was 4. When people ask I say these are my kids. If at an event where I have to introduce his bio-mom. I say this is her name my son's mom. I discipline all my children as any parent would. Depending on the issue I may discuss it with his father sometimes with both his mother and father & if he is in trouble at home , He is in trouble at his mom's house as well. #CoParenting

I remember her telling me how she cannot call me mom bc her mom would be really mad. I'm like hunny you can just call me by my name, it's fine. (I think I would've felt weird for me anyway). We are now trying to have her live with us one week here and other week with her mom. Her mom BLEW UP saying how she's not going to "abandon" her child. Um, how is that abandoning? I usually let him handle her crazy ass. She's told us multiple times how she would like to be with us more. It's her mom who trips... Smh.

When you've had a step parent for most of your life it's okay to call them mom and dad as long as the biological parents are okay with it and they've been a great parent. They have earned that title. Being a mom and dad isn't only about biology, it's about being loved, supported, protected, educated, nourished, through everything, and a step/adoption parent can provide those things. I understand if a 21 isn't okay calling their new step mom, mom. But if you've had the same step parent since you were 3 and they've been a real parent to you, calling them mom/dad is fine. The good step parents and parents who adopt, deserve to be recognized as parents, because they are real parents.

When I was 11 my parents got divorced a few months later my father started dating a woman. My best friend at the time had parents who also were divorced and dating. For them dating meant coming over for dinner once a week so I was not prepared when after 2-3 months she moved in. Everything happened so sudden and I was not consulted or told about any of it so I became very angry. I was very mean and rude to her but my Father couldn’t see why I was so mad and as a result our relationship took a toll that took years to fix and I blamed her. I think it is important to make the girlfriend feel included.I fact my step mom become like a mother to me but it can be a lot and I think it is very important to talk to the children and make them feel heard. I know from experience how hard it can be so I think communication is huge and to make sure that the kids are ok with everything and to ask them what they want you to be to them in thier life that would have made such a big difference when I was younger. What finally made me accept her was when after a year she and my father bought a house together it made me realize that it really was permanent and when they started to talk to me and ask me how I felt and make compromises and changes to make it more comfortable for me. And when my Dad spent time with me and my brother alone so I felt as if my before family was still intact and slowly she became family but it was all to much right away with no warning. If she had had a child I would have FREAKED. I’m not saying don’t go and have kids but make sure you talk to them and always make them feel like you love them just as much. make sure they feel like it is thier home to. not like thier visiting thier Dads other family. My step mom may not have had biological children but she did have a nice that was like a daughter to her and I could often feel very out of place and like I was a guest in my own home. Any way just make sure you include the children it is very important and will be very beneficial or at least it would have been for me.

I realize that this is an old video but I'm a stepmom to an 8 year old girl, she is a well behaved, listens good, and all around good kid. The only time when we clash is when I try to discipline her, that's when she starts talking back and it gets out of hand. But of course acts good when dad disciplines her. It's hard for me to be a stepparent then when it comes to discipline. Sometimes I will even just let her dad take care of the discipline because I just got home from work and I'm too tired to deal with bickering or I'm just not in the mood to deal with it. But I do try to discipline her, especially when dad will sometimes let her get away with stuff that I wouldn't. My fiance and I definitely have different parenting styles and I can be the more stricter parent, but she's also 8 years old and definitely should of have some boundaries in her life. It definitely hard to be a stepparent, but it is also so rewarding. I love her as my own and I will always will when her dad and I have our own kids. I can so relate to Adrienne because if she has not already, she will experience the hardships that come with being that role of a bonus mom. It's not easy! I love watching you all and glad that this is something you all have spoken upon!

LMAO at Tamera asking lying ass Adrienne about how hold Israel's youngest child was. I caught that shade when Tamera kind of rolled her eyes and was tapping her fingers on the table. Hahahahahahahahahha

I’m not here to become anyone’s mom. If you respect me, I respect you, my part is to make sure your dad supports you, you don’t have to love me, I don’t need that from you, but you will call me aunty, cos I’m not your age mate. You will show some respect. I’m not here to get in between the child and her dads relationship, but the child will not try me with drama. I will make sure you watch yourself around me. Let’s live in peace and happiness, that’s all ❤️

MY OPINIONS ON EACH TOPIC --------------------------------------------------------------- Stepmom Stepback : It's funny cuz I actually am friends with Sonny and the one thing I love is that him and Lils both have GENUINE unconditional love for Adrienne and silence out the noise that the blogs and people who aren't apart of their family ! They know what's what because they have a das and a mom that is very much open with them and have such a solid family unit that no matter what they're all family ! Adrienne has really been the littest stepmom ever sometimes I'm jealous 😂 Serial Interrupting : I'm be honest if I don't interrupt you then it is not a good conversation HOWEVER there are moments when like if it's something serious I want everybody to get a word in and listen ! I myself interrupt... BUT I hate the people that would rather hear themselves talk and when someone else talks they decide to cut them off two seconds and talk about something they did... like if it's not related to the topic or if you have anything to say contributing to the conversation then please do not cut me off 😂 Power Posing : Basically it's a confident-esque pose and actually if you think about it... confidence is apart of power so overall it is a " power pose " ! I don't mind it ! Ladies do what you want

I never called my step mother "mom" or "step mom". I called her Vicky. She is introduced as my fathers wife.

i've heard ofthis before, they did it on Grey's Anatomy :) but my power pose is mental and comes in the form of my confidence in my know how. i've never been the type to be intimidated by title, position, race or anything like that so usually if i'm confronting/presenting or just being present, i'm comfortable in myself. i actually tend to relax a little more in posture and hit em w everything i know.

It sounds a little like Adrienne wants to be the kids' friend. That is not the full scope of her situation though. She is the woman of the house and she has a say in how the house runs. If they push the boundaries or break the rules, she needs to be able to say, 'hey, you need to stop'. They are teenagers, they will push back.

I love The Real because what these women discusses and how they discuss the issues are almost exactly how every women would discuss any issues. My only issue with them is that...well, Adrienne. I like to believe that it's because of the fact that she was raised in lower east side which sort of develop her character to be more tough and in your face but it can also be condescending and rude especially when she asks about matter she don't understand but asked them like she thinks we are all dumb and she's too smart to know about it. I know that was not her intention and purposes but that's how I sometimes sees her.
