Its proven that the more body fat you carry the more issues you are predisposed to. Blood pressure, diabetes, and then the wear and tear on your body. The knees and back dont like carrying around lots of excess weight and eventually will catch up with you. My aunt is a nurse and she said when overweight people come in they almost always complain about back or knee issues.... all that said if a person is happy with themselves while being overweight then more power to them. Doesn't affect my life but I'm not gonna sit here and pretend and praise that someone like lizzo being the size she is can be completely healthy. I love how Adrienne says that Julianne Michael's sounded ignorant and in the same breath showed her ignorance. So because healthy looking ppl die too then being obese is okay??? Um no. I am not condoning how Julianne said it but there is truth in what she says. Let's stop sugar coating it. Obesity is a disease y'all. And Lizzo is obese. Celebrate it all you want but it's a disease. And, it's a disease that puts you at risk for other diseases namely heart disease, sleep apnea, diabetes. And yes thin ppl get these diseases as well but studies have shown that obesity is a risk factor for the above I am a physician and I have seen ppl get tracheostomies (holes in their necks) because they are so obese they need a ventilator to help them breath. Also on a side note, Lizzo is talented but I am just over the excessive body exposure. Is her message that the only way to be confident and love yourself is to show as much skin as possible?
@kathyd67144 жыл бұрын
JK golden I agree . And it’s sad how lizzo is delusional because she then attacked Jillian for it . Most people with the disease always feel attacked especially when a skinnier person tells them to lose weight and eat healthier because they think they’re being made fun of when it’s actually a huge concern. They think they can’t be accepted because they love being that way and they’re “big boned” but the reality is that , humans already get sooo many health problems as it is when you get older . I just turned 20 and I’m just now dealing with diabetes because it’s in my genetics and you would never guess due to my weight since I’m around 120 and I’m 5’3 . It’s not about being made fun of , it’s about living the life you should but healthy

@lalaartsy71404 жыл бұрын
Being healthy does not equal being skinny and anyone who says otherwise is ignorant on the subject. As a women, you really shouldn’t comment on another women’s body. It’s inappropriate and gross. I hope all of you in these comments would feel completely okay with someone commenting on your health without knowing absolutely anything about it.
@dionisiasanders77914 жыл бұрын
@@lalaartsy7140 what you're saying is true. However that's not what Jillian said. She never said skinny equals healthy. She just remarked how obesity and diabetes are linked. AND she was baited because she was ASKED about Lizzo. And the lady mentioned celebrating obesity. Which of course is counter productive to be healthy.
@lalaartsy71404 жыл бұрын
Dionisia Sanders if being skinny doesn’t equal being healthy than that must also mean being fat doesn’t equate to being unhealthy. Yes obesity and diabetes are linked but so is meat consumption and diabetes. I just don’t think it’s fair to judge someone else’s health based solely off there weight. Especially when there are people out here drinking alcohol multiple times per week or taking drugs who are probably on this thread calling Lizzo obese and unhealthy. Obesity is only one factor in your health.

Shawnee Reed But People such as the person interviewing Jillian basically say “oh isn’t it great that she’s that big and we get to see someone this big!” And everyone is saying weight doesn’t have a correlation with health, but the facts are that that can be true for regular people (with average to somewhat overweight BMI’s) but when it comes to MORBID OBESITY, there is NO argument, it IS NOT HEALTHY and you ARE DISEASE PRONE and these people are PROMOTING THAT. So it’s not about if those exact words came out of Lizzos mouth, it’s about what people are consuming and taking away from the situation and the verbiage.

Yeah, but the point they're trying to make is, needing to live a healthier lifestyle doesn't mean you shouldn't love your body. From someone who has lost a lot of weight in the past and gotten healthy, I can tell you firsthand that it is only when you begin to love yourself that you begin to do better for yourself. Meaning, someone who doesn't love or value their body will not be motivated to treat it better: LOVE comes first.
