This song was released on March 26, 2020 by Weird Genius - an EDM music group. Lathi comes from the Javanese language which means tongue or can also be interpreted as sayings or utterances. The lyrics of this song are a fusion of old Javanese and English; talk about a toxic relationship This song was so famous that the faces of the three Weird Genius personnel, namely Reza Oktovian, Gerald Liu and Eka Gustiwana appeared on 2 billboards in Times Square where on one of the billboards there was an inscription stating that their latest song was titled "Lathi". managed to enter the list of Top 100 million streams.

…from what i gathered from the comments when this video went viral several years ago, the visualization was inspired by a story / legend about a princess, who was deceived by a prince bcos of her wealth and then she was left to die.. but it turned out she didn’t die, and she turned to black magic for her revenge.. (this is just a story btw 😊, so don’t worry too much)
