After filming this video I've decided to stop using the Fuji GF670 for street photography. The reason for it is simple, the camera gives me only 10 frames per roll and I don't really need the better image quality of the larger format. Also, I don't want to ruin the camera with its fragile bellows. But don't worry, it won't the last time you see the camera on the channel but next time I am going to use it for things it's much better suited for.

completely understandable, Leica M6 or q2 monochrome makes much more sense for street! (the tones in the last print are just gorgeous none the less) best Tom PS: please tell me when you give away the fuji gf670 ;-)

I pondered buying this cameras years ago, not for 6x7 but 6x6 frames on 120. I decided against it and went with a Yashica 124 Mat G which was a much better choice. It's a tank, heavier and more cumbersome to carry, but MUUUUUCH stealthier in the way you operate it by looking down into it. It actually attracts less attention than when I go out to shoot with my Leica MP. It's a different way of shooting, you pick your scenes more deliberately. I use the fishing or stage/actor approach much more with medium format.

The tonality from these 120 filmstocks makes me want to send my Rolleiflex in for a CLA. 1,2 and 4 are all keepers in my book. Hope you find a continued use for your GF670. It’s great to see you trying different equipment to see what works for you

There will be more stuff coming with the GF670 but it won't be street photography.

The little camera is doing fine for the job you need it for. Checked it out (price/review) and most of the low star reviews complain about the battery life which is very poor. Like you mentioned in other videos maybe wait for a version with a detachable battery. Love the shots and the output of that camera is great, but as you mentioned, expensive to use, and indeed Berlin looked like a ghost town, still very pretty. Thanks for sharing.

Yeah, the battery life is my main concern with the GO2 but let's see what the future brings. 👍

I quite liked the grading of the video, a nice vintage look. What did you use for grading? As for the GF670, I borrowed one once and LOVE that camera. I wish it wasn't so expensive. I loved it for street photography, but agree you have to be gentle with it.

I was sure your last choice was the couple. Your camera is a great one. Easy to carry around (foldable) and great quality of grain!

I liked the shoot from min 6:26 the most. The shadows, the mirror, the lines. Great. Don't you think so?

@@therealsirrobin so far so good. People are getting vaccinated, and the situation seems to be under control now, life is going back to normal after the surge of new cases a few months back. Idk if people can travel here yet tho 😅 have to do some research about that

Robin, what do you recommend for a vlog'ing setup for this style of shooting and the background filming at the same time? I fancy giving it a go too. DJI Pocket 2 & creator combo, a GoPro, Insta 360?

There is pros and cons to each of those cameras.

Hello Robin. Very beautiful images in this episode. I don't know which equivalent lens in 24*36 do you use but it seems a longer focal than your usual 28/35mm. It is maybe a 40 or 50mm equivalent but the results are very nice. I like also the render of this black and white film. For the camera that you use, there is not a lot of difference, maybe the quality of the dji Osmo action is a bit better. I just bought a beautiful book about Berlin by Mark Steimetz who work with a medium format camera (Fuji 6*7 with 90mm), if you have time, just have a look. Thanks for your great videos, you are an inspiration.

The lens translates to roughly 40mm. There is a wider version of the camera that would give me that 28mm field of view but that one is hard to find and would easily cost me double or even more.

I didn't pick up the Fuji primarily for street. It's a great camera and I am going to use it for other things that's for sure.

This is not street photography camera...

I really got no respect for 'street' photography that only consists of trying to get sneaky shots of hopefully as intimate situations as you can possibly get. Without the subjects (or maybe victims?) knowing, without their consent to the publishing of the images and without any compensation for the what the 'artist' gains by publishing them. That is on top of me finding most of the images resulting from such photographers to be little more than voyeuristic snapshots from a technical and compositional perspective, but that's is obviously debatable.
