I grew up in East Hills but Homewood was my second home. Came out the House in 82. Used to go skating at the Homewood coliseum 1976-80. Grabbed chicken from Woodside open pit before school. Dorsey's records was the joint. Stayed at hoagie castle and Mr Bakers. I remember going on school trips from Crescent elementary on frankstown Rd to all the old trolley car barns when they was lined up on frankstown Ave. Coliseum the only one left. Lived in point breeze, Formosa Way in 90. Shout out to all my Homewood OG's I ran with. And RIP to my homies Dave Hoots, big Moon Howard, June Bug and recently Shawn Thornhill. I can go on for hrs. Do yo thang young brother 💪 Sending this shout from Cali💪

I remember living on meade street in my mom's friends attic walking to school on hamilton avenue using the computers at the library and playing football in the playground south behind the school. Life was copacetic shout out to Dr Martin and Dr Underwood and everybody at leche who kept me out of trouble as well. Of course point breeze was nice and quiet. Once you crossed north of the overpass it was a whole different story. Got into my first fight in homewood. Smoked my first joint in homewood. Had my first kiss in homewood. 🖤Much love for all my homies who still keep it one hundred💯 Burn one for me 🌿🔥😙💨🥴

Glad things are calming down in the burgh but it’s still some knuckleheads everywhere but it’s no where near as bad as the city used to be. We need to stop running from our neighborhoods and start looking to own our own land in these inner city hoods and teach financial literacy to our youngins

Growing up in Lawrenceville and swizzvale, progress is always good but damit man , they need to respect and stop pushing people out of there towns , help the people who live there yes tear down neg and make positive but for the people who live there make it affordable for them fix there schools and playgrounds fix there homes , instead of replacing them with a Starbucks or hipster bar with shitty food and over priced drinks , even at the city's worst of times people came to gather at the parks pools pizza shops or even the city steps , wants nothen to drive down and there be a weekend block party, all of the burgh usto be just one big hood except squirrlhill , mt Lebanon area and rosstownship area but the rest no matter what race or color we are all street raised and hood smart , I'm a city girl threw and threw Jersey born , lived in different parts of L.A till I was 6 back in the 80s , spent most my childhood in the burgh and my adult life in Tampa, but nothing compares to the burgh , Love , loyalty and mad respect to every hood in the 412 ,
